rogueminded (41), Newport, Oregon, USA Nov 30, 2004 Good Pale ale! Deschutes really knows how to Brew. Congrats! Pours light and rolls to the top. Golden in colour. Hops are difenitely prevelent. SG (456), San Clemente, California, USA Nov 27, 2004 This is a pretty tasty APA. Malty with a noticable hop presence. Balanced pretty well but on the sweeter side of the finish. I like APA’s with a little more hop bitterness on the end. Very nice. Probably in my top ten for the style. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA Nov 27, 2004 Very tasty English malted, mixed hop Pale ale. The aroma was mild, but fresh and complex. The flavor was orange and goat cheese - strange but good. This beer has one of the the cleaner finishes of the style. A great non-threatening pale. biermonk (259), San Francisco, California, USA Nov 26, 2004 Compliments of Gromit...Bottled poured deep dark orange with a billowy head...Lots of citrus in the nose...NIcely hopped Pale Ale...PLenty of bitter grapefruit and other citrus flavors...A very nicely balanced beer brewblackhole (1367), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Nov 26, 2004 Light malt hoppy aroma, light hop dominace, but a pleasant amount of malt mix. Not as hoppy as my favorite pale ales, but the pleasant blend makes it a nice session beer Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Nov 20, 2004 Updated: Mar 20, 2005Dark Orange. Subtle hop aroma of grapefruits, tang and oranges. Very approachable, juicy, fruity and well balanced hop profile in the mouth with notes of grapefruit, orange and other citrus fruits. The meek malt presence serves its purpose and balances well. Very creamy and quite good. Bpdriver (1), Portland, Oregon, USA does not count Nov 17, 2004 Find it an excellent blend. I’m suprised at all the 11 and 12’s, because this beer just feels right. Of course you can easily point out the strength in hops. Of course I wam from Oregon, so I’ll acept the criticism of being biased. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA Nov 7, 2004 A rich bronze color with a honeycombed, white head. A nice citrusy, delicate aroma with some bubblegum and yeast fruit. Flavor is fruity and floral in its hops and combined with bubblegummy malt. This is very well-balanced between malt and hop though I do not care for the bubblegummy house character I get from Deschutes.
