2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 buzz_and_hum (144) - Wellington, - OCT 21, 2012Hmm, pale ale? When it’s so dark, syrupy and malty? Not enough hops for the style, I think; but that’s not to say it’s a bad beer. But, maybe a bit more fuggles, a bit less malt to make it a pale ale. Or more malt, more body and call it a bitter. It’s neither here nor there, really.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OKplus (379) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 9, 2013
A - A murky amber orange color with a yellow tinted head. Tight bubbles and good retention.
S - Yeasty baked bread, caramel/toffee, some acidic fruit.
T - Bisctuity, lemon/orange citrus, sweet pale malt, tart fruit, hops resin creeps in close to the finish and sits on the back of the palate all the way through to the aftertaste.
M - Light side of medium at first but grows fuller towards the swallow.
A good overall APA. Excellent finish with good flavors. Hops provided flavor but didn’t kick up bitterness until the last second.

Thanks to iNBe. Quite a nice all around APA. Hoppy but not excessively so, with citrusy and piney hops. Decent malt backbone to balance it all out. Serving: Bottle

Enjoyed on tap at Fat Pour in Chicago, IL while a friend bought 4 rounds of bombs from a 24 year old waitress who looked like she was 29. Great pale ale, wish I had more time to enjoy it. Would enjoy again.
