This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

Thanks to iNBe. Quite a nice all around APA. Hoppy but not excessively so, with citrusy and piney hops. Decent malt backbone to balance it all out. Serving: Bottle

Haven't had this for awhile and coming back to it has lost a bit of its luster. Still good but may suffer a bit from the hop dominated trend at the moment since it doesn't have a very evident bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle. Poured copper, quick dissipating off white head. Aroma was grassy, pine. Taste was bitterness, hoppy, pine, slight sweet.

(Bottle) Lightly hazy copper body with a medium beige-cream head. Aroma of pale malt, grain, hint of sweet citrus fruit. Very smooth mouthfeel, some soft carbonation. Mild hop bitterness, malty caramel flavor, dry but leaves a hint of a sweet aftertaste. Nothing stands out too much in the flavor but it’s smooth and drinkable.

A great beer for those that are allured by the hop side of the craft spectrum. THe aroma opens a boquet of slightly sweet and fresh floral dominance with a bit of an earthy tone. The color is a prestine reddish-orange. The mouthfeel is medium in body and exceptionally smooth. The floavor lends a clean malt bill that comes off only slightly sweet, moderately bready and finishes with a pleasantly smooth and hop bittering that does not impart too dryly on the palate.

Alla spina. Biondo chiaro con fragile schiuma bianca. Amarognola e dissetante, un pelo erbacea, corpo medio-lieve. Fresca e buona, ma mi ha deluso un po’.

Had this several times but finally rating it Light hop aromas of rose and citrus. Body is light caramel, bread, and a mild hop bitterness. Nothing spectacular. Just a solid beer.

Draft: Mild wood nose. Crystal clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Orange. Grainy malt finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Not super imaginative, but enjoyable.

12oz bottle from Exxon (5th St., Charlottesville, VA). Aromas of citrusy and floral hops, soft grain. Clear dark gold with a mostly lasting white head. A touch of sweetness accompanied by slightly fruity, citrusy hop flavors. Light bodied, great balance.

Pours a dark gold with off-white head. Citrus and grainy aroma. Medium carbonation and a slightly creamy mouthfeel. More malt and citrus for flavour, finishing fairly dry with prolonged light bitterness.

Tap at Cece’s Detroit. Clear amber with short lasting off white head. Caramel, some peach and lime, grassy hops, light leaves, nice malty touch besides the caramel there’s light toast and biscuits. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit slick feel.
