COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

Nice amber color, slightly cloudy. Nice head, decent lacing. Really good start, pleasant body, terrific follow through. Not many pales can touch this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from the bottle at the Riverside Craft Beer Factory Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was kept in cold storage and tastes fresh and hoppy, unlike many other venues in Asia. This is kind of a definitive APA with excellent balance. Much has been written on this one so I'll leave it at "drink it when you see it."

Do not know why 88 puts. This is a classic northwest pale. The litmus test. Great pine hop aroma as expected. Crystal clear light orange pout perfect carbonation to bring out hop aroma. Taste fresh hops of pine and citrus and great clean finish!

Pours a deeply orange gold with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is hoppy with notes of grapefruit and an underlying malty sweetness. Taste is quite sweet, medium high, with a very mild bitterness in the background. Light body, clean finish with just a hint of bitterness lingering at the end. Overall, not as hoppy as expected and certainly more sweet than I thought it would be. It was a joy to drink and it goes down easy. The aroma and taste combo was just right.

Tap. Clear dark yellow. Nice Belgian lacing. Odd cheeto, cheesy nose. Watery body. Mild wet hopping accompanied by an interesting finishing flavor -- interesting yeast?

355 ml bottle, from Fakta, Denmark. BB date 30.05.2014. ABV is 5%. Amber colour, slightly hazy with some floaties. Moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramelized stale orange marmalade, basement and dust, a whiff of solvent. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. The flavour is mild with a slight fruitiness, the finish is drier and "dusty" with very moderate hops. Has apparently not had any benefit from cellaring, might rerate if I find a fresh bottle.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into a handled mug. A flavorful and drinkable pale ale, if I recall correctly. I only wrote down ratings and didn’t take tasting notes at the time, though, so I’d love to come back and try this one sometime.

Rated based on notes taken 25 Sep 2013 -- A very nice pale. Classic West coast example. Just enough malt and more than enough hops.
