5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
My favorite beer I’ve ever had. I’ve tried many, and I still find myself sticking to this one. Doesn’t get any better.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a Tulip glass, for a bottle that I received from a friend of mine. Hazy amber color. Aroma is fresh citrus, tropical fruit, floral hints, and light malt. Taste is similar to aroma, with a grapefruit fresh hop bitterness. Fresh tart floral finish. I not a huge pale ale fan but I realy liked this one.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly unbalanced in favor of the hops, but that’s generally how I like my pale ales. Bready malts and crisp.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Crap! Worst IPA ever. Tasted flat, absolutely noooooo hop flavor. Has no business being labeled as such.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very nice. Clear orange pour with a nice creme colored head. Sweet front end followed by a raisin or spicey back end. I don’t know if I’d call this a pale ale as much as it reminds me of a spiced ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
FROM NOTES: August 7, ’12
3rd half-yard of beer at The Yard House.
A: Nice caramel malt smell with some light sweet hop smell, overall a balanced.
A: Pours a clear amber with a finger of fluffy off-white head that dissipates to a layer on top of the pour and leaves some lacing.
T: Bready malts, citrsy hops, fruity malts, light toasted and caramel malts, and light mustiness. Malt notes are stronger than the hop notes. Faint bitter bite from the hops.
P: Closer to light of light-medium bodied with slight carbonation.
O: A very nice beer that drinks easy one after another. Perfect for a hot summer day.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into an imperial pint (tulip glass is dirty and I’m feeling lazy). I’ve had this a couple dozen times but never rated it. Pours a nice copper orange color with a small off white head that dissipates reasonable quick. Smells floral, citrus (orange) and light pine with a soft caramel sweetness in the background. Light bread aromas as well. Tastes of sweet malt, soft biscuit and generally balanced malt. Hops are peppery, floral, and piney. Slight citrus in the back but not much. Bitterness is on the outsides of the tongue. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and very smooth with medium to high carbonation. Great beer, eminently drinkable. I’ve sessioned this one multiple times.
