I always appreciate a pale ale that has some aroma and flavor to it despite the appearance. Mirror Pond has a good hop character and citrusy elements.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, medium honey-orange color; bright white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Resiny, fresh earthy and floral hops in the aroma; some tree fruits and sweet malts. Medium mouthfeel: lots of sweet earthy and floral hops upfront; clean and resiny hop character; some earthy, basic candy sugar maltiness underneath; very drinkable, nicely composed APA. Medium finish: toasty malts, earthiness, and lingering dry bitterness; toasty and crisp.

Draught @ Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Pours a slightly hazy dark ambe color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle from WBF in Durham. Amber pour, off white head. This was surprisingly good... and very hoppy for a pale ale thanks to the abundance of Cascade hops. Skunky, resiny, citrusy, tasty hops. A bit thin. Good stuff.

Hazy amber pour, fluffy off white head. Citrus and grains on the nose. Thin bodied and very sessional. Citrus flavor. Long bitter finish.

Nothing special. A session amber, perhaps overpriced and overhyped. Thin an unobstrusive character.
