This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

I was highly unimpressed with this beer. To call this an American Pale ale is a farce in my book as it tasted almost like nothing...if it didn’t look so great and feel so good in my mouth I would drink it, move on and never come back. Nose is faint malt. Maris Otter...a little maybe. Crisp cracker like notes and a little bit of brwon sugar style sweetness...boring. Hops promised are nonexistent. If I didn’t get a fresh bottle this beer would maybe be great but as it stands it is awful...truly

Tap. Clear dark yellow. Nice Belgian lacing. Odd cheeto, cheesy nose. Watery body. Mild wet hopping accompanied by an interesting finishing flavor -- interesting yeast?

355 ml bottle, from Fakta, Denmark. BB date 30.05.2014. ABV is 5%. Amber colour, slightly hazy with some floaties. Moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramelized stale orange marmalade, basement and dust, a whiff of solvent. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. The flavour is mild with a slight fruitiness, the finish is drier and "dusty" with very moderate hops. Has apparently not had any benefit from cellaring, might rerate if I find a fresh bottle.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into a handled mug. A flavorful and drinkable pale ale, if I recall correctly. I only wrote down ratings and didn’t take tasting notes at the time, though, so I’d love to come back and try this one sometime.

Rated based on notes taken 25 Sep 2013 -- A very nice pale. Classic West coast example. Just enough malt and more than enough hops.

Murky amber beer with a medium foamy eggshell head. Juicy hop nose of citrus, spruce, and grass. Flavor is less citrusy and more on the resinous side, which is a bit of a let down after the aroma, but it is pleasant enough with a soapy bitterness followed by a subtle cereal sweetness. Some of the bitterness returns on the finish, which is surprisingly dry. Decent beer.

Pours dark gold/amber with lots of head and lacing. Noes is plums, peach and some grass. Flavours same, plus cereal, maybe some grapefruit. Taste medium/light bitterness, light/medium sweet. Medium/light body, lively carbonation.

Bottle at home. Amber pour. Piney hoppy aroma. Flavor is slightly toasted savory malt, mild pine resin, over - ripe fruits, with a dry and mildly bitter finish.

Great, fruity/spicy yeast character. Nicely balanced hopping with a juicy malt center. Good aromatics - great pale ale with food ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Irish pub. Nice malty body with thin head. Nose is hoppy. Taste also with slight pine taste. Light. Good.
