3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I was highly unimpressed with this beer. To call this an American Pale ale is a farce in my book as it tasted almost like nothing...if it didn’t look so great and feel so good in my mouth I would drink it, move on and never come back. Nose is faint malt. Maris Otter...a little maybe. Crisp cracker like notes and a little bit of brwon sugar style sweetness...boring. Hops promised are nonexistent. If I didn’t get a fresh bottle this beer would maybe be great but as it stands it is awful...truly

This is what I look for in an American pale ale. Good flavor not bitter easy to drink.

A frosty golden color. A light bready nose. Really light flavors. Light malt. Biscuity flavors. It’s ok. Nothing special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is fruity, fruit cocktail, sweet hops, peaches, maybe. Appearance is golden amber, off white head. Taste is juicy, malty, some bitter hops, not much else. Mouthfeel is sticky, not crisp, not great. Overall, a pretty mediocre pale ale.

Pours a rich gold with a creamy white head. Nice citrus nose with a touch of caramel underneath. Malt with flash of citrus then some resin on palate.

A: Darkish dull orange body with an inch of dark beige tight foam. Good retention and thick lace.
S: Rich medium colored bread nose. Kind of sweet but crisp smell. Not hoppy to me today.
T: English hop flavor hits first with a crisp crackery bitter backbone. A slight sweetness is OK.
M: Creamy, wheaty and heavy feel with foam still thick on the lips.
O: Good well made ale but seems more like an amber than a pale to me. Certainly English style. Pretty good overall though.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a big billowy white head. The head fades rather fast, leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready aroma mixed with a little bit of a caramel sweetness. Along with these smells comes some lighter notes of a light harvest fruit and a little bit of a grassy and earthy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready and very lightly caramel sweetened flavor mixed with a moderate showing of an earthy hop (for a pale at least). As the taste moves forward the caramel fades, giving even more show to the bready malt, while at the same time some flavors of grain and more earth come to the tongue. With a little bit of a grassy taste coming at the very end, one is left with a somewhat drier and rather decently earthy pale ale taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is average in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. For the mix of the drier bready flavors and the moderately earthy hop tastes, the feel is rather nice as it’s moderateness accentuates these flavors all while not making it too heavy on the palate.
Overall- A decent pale ale overall. A little bit more earthy in nature with a decent showing of a bready taste. Not too sweet for a pale, but rather robust in flavor and somewhat slower sipping for a brew of only 5 %.
