Draft 2009. Aroma: Orange, orange rind and grain Palate: Light body, soft rounded fruit. Flavor: Rounded, dried orange and grains. Straightforward, fruit flavor evolves a bit. Comments: Good balance; mild but flavorful.

Sample at Missoula Brewfest. Hazed orange/yellow, frothy white head. Aroma of banana, clove, orange. Taste is nice, a little watery but still a good Hefe.

On tap @ Firetap. Hazy golden yellow with a thick, pure white head and visible carbonation. Light aroma of bread, banana, clove and lemon. Flavor is light wheat bread with a tart yeast bite. Medium to light in body with active carbonation and a thin, slightly watery mouth feel. Kind of a mix between an American Wheat and German Hef, the yeast character is pretty light but adds a nice tartness.

Part of the 9hr epic solo drunkfest in Portland in Nov, 2010. Finally bowed down to a sampler tray so I can somewhat stumble out of here. Hazy gold with a white cap. Has a grainy aroma, light banana, more grains, light clove and cereals. The taste is average for a US Hefe. Weak and light citrus, lemon, grains, tart, cereal - boring. Waay too much bananaish for me. Finishes soft with a light and long lingering spice.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a hazy yellow color with a pretty hefty white head with good retention. The nose is light wheat along with clove and banana. A bit of bubblegum. The taste is pretty yeast driven with a bit of slightly-sweet wheat there as well. Good body and carbonation; a nice summer drinker. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-09-2010

Growler served in a flare pilsner. Pours hazy golden-orange with a large white head. Good retention and lacing. Light clove and banana aromatics. Very german-style. Very nice. Medium sweet, light salty flavor. Light-medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation, and a tongue coating, mildly hopped, dry finish. Nice effort.

Banana and clove aroma. Lightly hazy gold-yellow. The banana and clove carry through the flavor with a citrus note.

Tap @ Bittercreek: Pours a hazy gold color with a nice light white head. The nose is fresh and light with a husk and spicy snappy wheat note along with some fresh light citrusy hops. The flavor is very estery with bananas and cloves along with light wheat and some husky notes. The spelt adds a light herbal quality that also lightens up the mouthfeel a bit. Nice spin on the Hefe, I like it, sometimes the wheat can make the mouthfeel too big and sappy yet starchy, not sweet.
