May 8, 2007 Courtesy Quake1028. Pours a pitch black with a light tan head. Smells really nice, some coffee, lovely chocolate, dark malts, and a little roastiness as well. Fairly light bodied, big chocolate and coffee, especially in the finish. Very roasty as well, with a good bit of nuttiness. Not a bad stout at all.

Apr 27, 2007 12 oz bottle. Best by 12/06. Dark brown with a thick cratered tan head. Rings of lace. Raisin, dusty oats and light molasses. Bitter black licorice and cocoa with pithy tang. Juicy lime leads to a dry, bittersweet chocolate finish. Medium body but drinks lighter.

Apr 20, 2007 Bottle from Iowaherkeye, thanks! Nice roast chocolate scent. Black with a tan head. Medium palate at best. Plenty of roasted malt, bitter chocolate and a tangy sort of finish. Not as good as I had expected.

Apr 18, 2007 Bottle : Pours black and opaque with a thick brown creamy head. Tons or roasty coffee aroma and charcoal. Favor is rich with roasted barley. nice malt backbone but the burnt woody and dry coffee take over. Finishes semi dry and clean. Very nice house stout.
