kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Feb 24, 2007 12oz bottle, courtesy of Schutzenliesel. Thanks, Tom! Pours a dark black center with a reddish tinge; light tan head. Pleasant cocoa and milk chocolate aroma. Full, chewy cocoa mouthfeel: dark chocolate, roasted malts, plenty of smoke; vanilla and light bitterness. Medium, burnt malt and milk chocolate finish. Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Feb 21, 2007 Pours brown with a thin tan head and great lacing. Smells of roses, pepper, spices and earthy hops. Tastes of sweet malt, chocolate and raisins. JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Feb 18, 2007 This has a light coffee aroma. Simple, straightforward malt flavor, only a little roasted taste and very light chocolate-coffee. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 18, 2007 Pitch black color with a medium head. A pretty strong roasted malt aroma with a little nuttiness. Big, thick, roasted malt flavor. Nothing crazy, nothing subtle. Just a solidly bitter malt taste with a little chocolate on the end. Nice. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA Feb 16, 2007 Pours a jet black with a tiny tan head. Nice smokey nutty aroma with hints of bittersweet chocolate. Medium carbonation with a nice toasty smokiness. Light chocolate flavor accented by a nice citrus hop touch that finishes unbelievably. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Feb 13, 2007 Thanks to BuckeyeBoy for trading this one to me. Black with a average tan head. Big roasted nut, chocolate, and coffee aroma. Flavor is light smoke, huge roasted nutty, coffee, and chocolate. Has a mild dry finish. Wegro (218), Fresno, California, USA Feb 12, 2007 Updated: Feb 13, 2007Bottle. Thick and dark with a small brown head with lots of lacing. Has no sweetness, some nuts and lots of roast and chocolate. Has hints of smoke in it as well. Big thick mouthfeel that goes down really smooth. It’s hard to find anything I don’t like about this beer. Loads of flavor. A quality stout if I’ve ever had one. Very satisfying.

POurs black with a brown espresso like head, it’s opaque and oily looking. Delicious, rich, smoky/toasty flavors. Chocolate flavors follow and round out a superbly smooth brew.
