Dec 18, 2006 Aroma of tasted malt, a little coffee, and maybe a hint of chocolate. Guiness color and a vigorous dark tan head. Beautiful. Starts with coffee. Quickly followed by very smooth toasted malt. Then a bit of bitter follows. I’d call this well balanced. The finish is a nice toasted malt with bitter along the sides of the tongue. Excellent.

Nov 30, 2006 Brownish/black body with no head. Sharp aroma, alcohol and dark fruit. Malts, hops and chocolate dominate the flavor. Smooth ending.

Nov 29, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours black with a slow forming head that starts off brown, finishes creamy tan almost guiness like. Sweet aroma, like freshly cut hay. Strong raosted coffee and malt flavors. Silky feel. Really good stout.

11/29/2006: Sampled at the Richmond Beer Industry Gathering 2006. Dark black body with a small light brown head. Sweet coffee aroma. Sweet coffee flavor with some mild bitter in the end. 8/5/8/3/15 - 3.9

Nov 25, 2006 Bottle poured black with a small tan head. Aroma to chocolate and coffee, with a tinge of toast. Full balanced taste, malt, chocolate, coffee, hops. Finish of a coffee with bittersweet chocolate, and a twist of banana at the end.

I drank one of these, hated it at first, but kept drinkin it. here i am years later writing reviews on hella yummy brews. sigh. this beer is great, very dark in color and flavor (not to mention the head) can get it year round at the bars in olympia. has a very distinct roasted taste that i enjoy

Nov 18, 2006 Bottled. Black with creamy head. Sweetish roasted aroma with coffee, leather and mint. Rich roasted flavor with coffee. Good malty and bitter-roasted finish. Very balanced with good maltiness and roastedness.

Nov 14, 2006 (07.26.06) 12 oz brown bottle from Liquid Solutions. 6.4% ABV. Roasted malt aroma. Best by 8/16/06. Roasted malt aroma. Poured opaque black with giant tan head. No discernable carbonation. Medium bodied that starts with light malt sweetness and roasted malt flavor. Finished dry with lingering hop bitterness. Some chalkiness in the mouth. Though rather monodimensional in the flavor department, this is a good drinkable stout with an edge toward bitterness.
