COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep, robust and richly rewarding, this is beer to linger over. Obsidian has distinct notes of espresso, chocolate, roasted malt and black barley, with just enough hop bite to cut the sweetness.

From tap at Sacramento Brewing. Pours black wit a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malt, vague acidic touch. Hardroasted malt flavoured, light acidity and subdued fruity touch. Roasted and slight acidic flavoured finish. Nice, but also quite simple.

Ungstrup (29223) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2005
[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate, while the flavor is weirdly sweet - slightly perfumated, but also with notes of peach and roasted malt. The roastiness gives it a dry end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a dense, creamy, light brown head leaving laces. Very burned aroma. Medium body with a very smooth mouthfeel, distinct flavours of burned malt and a high degree of sweetness - this really comes close to a Sweet Stout. Burned, bitter finish. 290307

Opaque black stout with a brown edge. Thin soft palate. More porterish. Well toasted malt without getting bitter or dry. Minerally freshness abounds! Just a glimpse of hop bitterness in the finish. Decent.
