Very nice, rich roasty mocha aroma. Pretty sweet. Flavor has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Roasty finish. Not that complex but tasty. Medium bodied with a very smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Very nice stout. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA

Pours a nice midnight black with a brown rocky head. Looks good. Smells like chocolate, roasted coffee, and maybe dark cherry. Aroma is good. The flavor is rich and creamy, even though it is somewhat watery. Taste of dark chocolate, coffee, and lightly smokey. Its a little thin at the end. This gets better as it warms. Overall, Better at the end than the begining. RollinHard (764), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2007 Pours an attractive dark brown with a nice tan head (lasts longer in a narrow glass). Aroma of some sort of raspberry-ish tang, dirt, caramel, chocolate (not too dark), and milk/creamer. Dry roasty taste, with some milk chocolate and a tangy hop taste. Finishes very earthy, dirtlike with some black coffee there. Great mouthfeel (creamy, low-carbonation, not thin, but drinkable) and a good stout overall. Tangy-qualities are out of place though. cbkschubert (2030), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

It’s semi-sweet and a little dry. The dark malts come through nicely. Very smooth and easy to drink. If you like stouts, this beer is worth a try. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2005 Opaque jet with a wormy dark and light brown, creamy head that formed good lacing. Floral aroma from both hops and esters mingle to make a candy/gummi bear aroma that changes into a creamy and meaty dark malt aroma. The flavour is also creamy with plenty of roasted malt and quite a bit of coffee accent and pear notes. It tastes a little salty, but not unpleasantly so, and the roasted coffee flavour lingers. Medium to full body with a lasting bitterness from the dark malt. Medium carbonation. Excellent stout. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA

Smells really nice, some coffee, lovely chocolate, dark malts, and a little roastiness as well. Fairly light bodied, big chocolate and coffee, especially in the finish. Very roasty as well, with a good bit of nuttiness. Not a bad stout at all.
