3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is typical Premium American Stout, coffee, deeply roasted malts, slightly beery. Pours nearly black brown, nice frothy dark coffee and cream head. Flavor is rich and dry... strong coffee, lighter chocolate, dark roastiness. In spite these strong and rich flavors, it is not overly heavy and actually has some of that refreshing quality. This is an exceptional stout without crossing into the Imperial range.

From the 12 fl oz bottle dated 03/17/15. Deep dark black pour with tan head and a lot of lacing. The aroma boasts notes of dark malts, chocolate and sweet malts. Medium body. The taste also has a wonderful sweet dark malty character. I think if the body was bolder I would have rated it higher.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Slight cocoa and moderate low roast transitions to a moderate, dry bittersweet finish. Medium thin mouthfeel. Roast picks up as it warms.
