This is a variation of a sweet stout. The malt bill has a distinct roasted flavor with a hint of caramel, which is balanced by UK Challenger and Tettanger Hops. IBUs:25

Very sweet and chewy stout, kind of along the lines palate wise of Young’s Double Chocolate, but with an oaty flavor instead of the hefty chocolate. A little thin but still very nice.

Tap @ the brewpub - This is a really tasty little stout. I knew going into this it was not going to wow me with complexity, but for what it is, I found it really enjoyable. Some rich chocolate covered caramel notes, some toasted nuttiness, and just the right amount of roastiness to give it balance.

On Tap at the BrewPub in Bend’ OR Balack but clear...if that is possible, with a tan head and sturdy lacing. Modest roasted aroma with some coffe notes. Nice roasted flavor, slightly sweet but right for an Oatmeal and a slightly bitter back end. A bit thin but not dry. Very nice overall.

Black as oil with thin head clinging to sides of the glass. Exquisite roasty sweetness in aroma, but the flavor is a let down with a boring oatmeal roastiness. Decently balanced, tastes fine, but lacks complexity.

This would go really nice with a big scoop of pecan ice cream mixed in with it. Rich and creamy with some subtle roastiness, nice chocolate in the background. Cookie dough malts, and very rich, and finishes somewhat dry and smooth.
