4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has an amazing level of retention, very slowly fading over time to leave a tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a nice fresh pine and spruce smell. Mixed with these stronger aromas are some lighter notes of a tropical fruit nature, with some tangerine and a little bit of mango and pineapple. Along with these aromas comes a hint of grass and a little bit of bread, creating a rather nice inviting pine tree aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins dry, with a nice cracker taste mixed with some of the pine and spruce hop that were detected in the nose. While dry upfront, there are some lighter fruit notes of tangerine and pineapple, which fade as the taste advances. While these sweeter flavors fade, some other tastes of a more grainy and grassy nature take their place. With the mix of spruce, pine, grass and herbal hops that are left on the tongue, in combination with the lighter sweet and crisp cracker tastes of the brew, one is left with a rather dry and crisp, “green hop” taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side for an IPA of 6.5 % with a carbonation level that is rather average. The thinner and more crisp body is great for the dry cracker tastes of the brew, with the combination of body and carbonation being very nice for the more dank hop tastes of the brew. Overall the feel is fantastic as it matched well the crisp and clean tastes of the brew.
Overall – This is a very enjoyable more dank, “green”, hopped ale. Nice and crisp and very enjoyable. This one I rather enjoy and would defiantly recommend.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a mostly clear yellowish color with a thick white head that had good retention and left plenty of lacing around the glass. The aroma was mostly fruity and not much noticeable pine notes that the name would suggest. However, in the taste you do pick up the pine resin and hoppy bitterness. There is also some fruity flavors as well and a little bit of sweet Malts. The mouthfeel is medium and watery. Overall, a great beer worth a try.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A different IPA for sure, but quite good. Clear golden-yellow color with a medium white head. If you have one, taste is citrusy, a little bit of pine, nice malt background, some juicy tropical fruit. If you have more than one, the pine takes over quite a lot. Better than a 92, current rating, in my book, but not an elite IPA.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Poured into a shaker glass. Golden color with a white head. Nice lacing on this one. Aroma is really piney, almost sap like, with some notes of citrus and alcohol as well. Flavor is bready malt with some light caramel notes and lots of resionous and piney hops. Great layers of flavor, slightly sticky mouthfeel, a nice crispness, and a great finish. This is really easy to drink and has awesome flavor. One of the best IPA’s I’ve had in awhile.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I chanced getting a sixtel keg of this. Poured into a Leffe stem glass, pours hazy gold with head and lace. Big aroma of pine, lemon zest, light honey and grains. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of rich grains, straw hops, pine sap, grapefruit rind. Overall rich, bold, flavorful and a little rough with bitterness.
