3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
draft that poured a medium yellowish orange color that was somewhat cloudy. nice white head. the aroma was pine hops straight up and forward. not know this was a pils base vs 2row I understand the light body of this beer. but for the flavor was off and or different. got the piney of the hops, got the resinous volume of it as well. but the overall flavor just seemed off to me and still cant put my finger on it...couldn’t finish the pint and this was a relatively new keg. wasn’t bad but wasn’t what I was expecting or liked.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Beer Cartel 061015. Yet another good beer from Deschutes, can’t really say that I have had a bad beer from them. As the name suggests this beer is all about the hops.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, light pine, lighter grass, and a hint of lemon peel. It pours a a transparent golden-orange with a two finger white head that settles to a thick film and leaves a good amount of soapy webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of lightly sweet citrus. The finish has pine, light-moderate grapefruit, light grass, and a hint of lemon peel. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz Bottle. Pours hazy golden with very light haze. Nose is big and lush, slightly dank with assertive piney hops. Good NW IPA feel to this. Flavor has very tasty fresh barley base malt - flavor begins just slightly sweet accented by mildly floral hops and then becomes dominated by sharp piney hop resins. Fresh, it is very good - takes me right to a NW coast pub.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep gold with a foamy white head. Plenty of NW hops, not "Industrial strength" but still quite a bite. Interesting hop flavor, has the moderate pine/citrus profile but also a resinous spicy flavor. Slick feel and a bit thin bodied but still refreshing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 11/25/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, lime, melon, green pepper, citrus rind, pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/piney/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, lime, melon, green pepper, citrus rind, pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, lime, melon, green pepper, citrus rind, pine, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/piney/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High amount of dryness after the finish from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky/resinous mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/piney/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
