This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Best by 07.24.15. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Deschutes snifter today. A: Pine and resin. Maybe Iíve been looking at the tree on the label too long, but tree sap too. A: 2 finger head that stays. Nice lacing. Hazy orange body. T: Pine, resin, and sap dominate. Candied tropical fruit, raisin/brown sugar (back end) are subtle. P: Itís very light in the mouth. Smooth with some resin stickiness. O: This was fun picking apart. There is a lot of complexity to this one. The flavors donít overwhelm, but are nicely blended together.

On tap at a massive outdoor bar in Philly for beer week. My favorite of the 3 IPAs sampled. This one had a nice pine and citrus aroma. The flavor was hop bitter with a sweet malt base. Nicely balanced, clean and refreshing.

Pouts bright orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of resiny pine, citrus, tropical fruits, some dank hops, and light pils malts. Taste is similar to the aroma and is very piney, with the addition of some grassy/herbal hops. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, semi dry, medium finish. Overall, a tasty, piney, and pretty drinkable IPA.

12 oz. bottle. It pours a light golden color with a white head. The aroma is nice and bready with some onion stank, apricots and light florals. The flavor is the same. Nice rich bready malt eith some light fruit and florals. Solid earthy bitternss. Dry and crisp with good hop character. I liked this one.

(Bottle) Pretty bitter. I donít like the main hop(s) they use- that very tropical taste that seems to be popular these days. Not what I like in an IPA.

12oz bottle from Craftshack. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a finger of foamy white head. Aroma of lemon drop candies, hints of pine, and sweet malt. Not a whole lot to the aroma. Taste of bad lemons, citrus zest, pine sap, grass, and sweet grain. Not a great balance between the sweetness and the bitterness.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is plenty hoppy. Pine, citrus itís all there. Flavor is again all hop forward. Mildly bitter with a low malt presence. Yea itís a west coast IPA and itís pretty solid.
