This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Bottle pour avg gold with huge white head. Nose sticks to the name, pine, lemon, resin. Taste moderate bitter bite up front, pine, juicy hop, and some balancing sweetness. Lingering bitter finish.

For a beer called Pinedrops the aroma doesn’t scream ’piney.’ Aroma is tropical, candy cane, and spruce. Taste does bring on those pine flavors. Bitterness on the back feels right, lingers around in a good way. Malt flavors don’t feel quite balanced with the hops.

Faint aroma of Pine...not much there. Crystal clear yellow...fine white head. Sweat malt up front. Some caramel...quickly coated by a piney, resinous bitterness that is nice. Bitterness intensifies on the finish, with notes of citrus and grapefruit. Lingers a long time afterwards. Light to medium mouth feel. O.k.

Mild smell, maybe a bit of lemon, or just get that from the light color, looks like a wit. Nice lasting flavor.

Bottle pours golden with a frothy head. Huge spruce, citrus aroma, solid malty backbone, finishing fresh and balanced. Overall, a very nice IPA that delivers piney characteristics and malt pleasure.

Tap at the Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a slightly hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is massive pine needle hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big citrus, pine needle, light spice hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at Great Beer Bar, KL. Very hazy golden light orange with a medium white head. Aroma of massive pine upfront as the name suggests with some fruity notes and light malt hidden behind. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Yes, "piney" this is. Pours a fairly clear, light copper with moderate head. Good lacing throughout. Bitter, dry finish. There’s flavor, but overwhelmed by the bitterness. Good for what it is...

12/24/15. 12oz bottle from a mix pack thanks to my folks! Orange pour with a small khaki head. Citrus aroma, loads of pine, a little dank, doughy malts, a mineral aspect. Disappointing flavor, some citrus, a little pine, floral, earthy. Disappointed.
