COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Draft at Toronado. Sheila is super piney with some gummi bear (or worm). Pour is fairly hazy light yellow. Taste is piney with a lot of the fruitiness. Interesting flavor. Really canít get passed the fruitiness tho. Dry light finish. Some alcohol noted.

12oz pour at Flo and Santos. Pours clear orange with a lasting and very good lacing big and thick off-white frothy head. Aroma is dominated by malt - biscuit, caramel, grapefruit, peach, citrus and pine. Taste is light+ sweet and bitter. Body is medium, texture is fluffy, carbonation is moderate+. Finishes balanced with hops.Goes down real easy - great drinkability.

Clear golden under a fading white head. Pine needle and dank earthy hops on the nose, mostly piney and a little bit like marihuana. Full body with a lovely palate and carbonation, full of pine and leafy bitterness, a touch of earthy resins and a little touch of dank lemon rind. But mostly earthy pine notes. Itís okay, could use a stronger or more nuanced malt body besides just íthereí.

Slightly hazy, bubbly head, lemony, slightly piney aroma with a splash of biscuity malt. Hop juice character, lemony, touch of pine, and a light pale malt signature.

I had this on tap this afternoon at Hangar on the Wharf, Juneau, AK. I had this in a pint glass. The appearance was a super clear yellow color with a less than half finger white foamy head (bar pour, no worries). There was more than enough carbonation seen rising into the quickly dissipating head. The smell, well, it actually kinda reminded me of Alaskanís Hoar Frost IPA as there seemed to be that German malty sweetness trying to overpower some of the bitter citrus sweet hops. The taste is basically semi-sweet but lets a decent amount of bitter hoppiness come through to balance out for the most part. Honestly, I really didnít get too much of an aftertaste, but there is a decent quick semi-sweet malty finish. On the palate, this one sits fairly light. I found myself not necessarily sipping this one, but actually drinking (not gulping). I enjoyed it and found it pretty sessionable. Overall, though I already compared it Alaskanís Hoar Frost and I know this was out way before Alaskanís version of this and Iím just now having this today, Iím pretty sure I would have this again.
