This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Cloudy golden color. Big piny vegetal hop aroma. A little malt in the flavor but the hops are big and bitter. Nice beer but a little on the bitter piny side for me.

On tap at Old Chicago. Thereís very little to be done to improve this IPA. I did something I normally donít do - I had a second one. A perfect combination of aroma and taste, with a lingering finish. Too bad itís a seasonal.

Nice pine and citrus aroma. Soft caramel color. Relatively light palate with high carbination. Flavor was bitter with a sweetness to follow. Good IPA to fall in line with the others for this brewery.

Tap at Hoppy Monk in El Paso pours pale orange hue with a am all white soapy head and sparse lacing. Nose is big grapefruit bright Floral and some lite pine. Flavors are great lots of juicy grapefruit pine floral leaffy hops and the nice pils malt is very a parent here aiding in the pleasant dryness of this brew.I really dig the malt hop combo here. Some may say its a bit aspirin like but it works co this beer almost chalky in its delivery. Very solid brew here.

Sample at Mongoose vs Cobra. The beer pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

No retention and very light lacing. Smells of citrus and sweet malt. Very faint. Tastes of sweet malt, citrus Frits and pine. Not that bitter of a aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
