This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Cloudy golden color. Big piny vegetal hop aroma. A little malt in the flavor but the hops are big and bitter. Nice beer but a little on the bitter piny side for me.

From a 355ml bottle on 2/5/2016. Pours a clearish medium golden with a small head. Has a light hoppy nose - some fruit, pine and resin. The flavour features a touch of caramel malt, followed by lots of sweet citrus and stone fruit (orange, apricot, peach). Then the hops kick in - super bitter, resiny, sticky and lingering. The palate is a little slick and the carbonation is modest. This is a big, bold, bitter IPA which will impress those who think too much bitterness is not enough. Very good, but I slightly preferred the Freshly Squeezed I had yesterday.

Hazed yellow with a thin white head. An unusual aroma, florals, tart strawberry, grape and citrus. I’d describe the flavor as very ripened hoppiness, but still somewhat crisp with a fun bitterness. Never had a beer like this.

Super unique hoppiness to this one. Really bitter but in a weird way. It’s very refreshing and light... I enjoy it.

Bottle. Orange malt, catty pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet citrus, light malt and moderately strong bitter spruce/pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Great hops.

Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball from notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium plus sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pine resin, lemon citrus character, some floral notes, herbal, pale toasted malts, caramel, moderate bitterness to the finish.

I like the name of this one but it doesn’t seem very piney and is overly bitter. Fans of high IBUS would like this but I’ll stick to the fresh squeezed.

Not really a fan of this. Aroma was ok. There’s some pine there along with light malt and melon. Pour was a clear hazy gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was ok, but too tropical fruity for me. Sweet melon, cantaloupe and mango with not much else going on. A little malt was there, but these tropical fruit flavors were too one dimensional. Very melon-y finish with no bitterness. Mild carbonation.

Golden yellow pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops, not the pine I expected. Taste is a little pine and the pine grows as you taste it. Solid malt body. Nice lacing shown during the first sip. Very enjoyable.
