This West Coast IPA is like that sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Using Pilsner base malt, it is light on malt but not hops. With a hop bill consisting of Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer, and experimental hop X, we packed in the pine along with the citrus notes we love.

Cloudy golden color. Big piny vegetal hop aroma. A little malt in the flavor but the hops are big and bitter. Nice beer but a little on the bitter piny side for me.

On tap at Benjamin’s (5/10/16). Light spicy hops, pine resin and a little funk. Mild grain sweetness. Hazy pale amber with white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Moderate sweet start, nice hop flavor throughout with pine and tropical fruit. A little diacetyl, with hoppy bitter after.

Hoppy, resiney nose maybe a little sweetness. Hazy golden pour with thick, white head. Strong piney hop profile, slightly tempered by some biscuity malts. Touches of dryness, but hoppy overall. The citrus never quite came through. Well balanced overall. It does not try to knock one’s socks off with its hops.

Holy Santa Claus s@#$ "Hints of Pine" says the bottle. Apparently Deschutes believes a ’hint’ is the equivalent of being waterboarded by pine. This does not create a ’clean finish’. Rather, one’s palate is assaulted like Gold Beach on DDay by this truly terrible concoction. Thanks for the bukkake of awfulness, Deschutes, until next time.

Very nice appearance and aroma. Mild happy pine taste with a little oiliness in the texture. Overall pretty decent but not top caliber.

Brews n chews. One of the half decent IPAs at the event. Clearish golden pour. Pine like aromas. Medium to high bitterness.

Good pine nose with an orange bitters back note. Slight malt but a hop dominated beer, not a bad thing. Great lingering bitterness which may benefit from some more malt to help the texture.

12-ounce bottles served in a pint glass. Exceptional floral and pine needle aroma, but even more bitter than most IPAs. Hard to finish a six-pack.

BOTTLE. Clean straw to gold colour with small flat white head, solid glass lacing.. Floral musky nose, pine aroma for sure.. Crisp beer, label is 100%; pine & spruce, floral notes, light malt backbone balances out nicely.. Cellarbrations @ Capel

A petty nice pine taste with a bitter hop after effect. Its a nice ipa. Good thick texture.

Pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. Citrus and pine aroma. Mainly bitter in palate, with grapefruits, pine and hops. Zero sweetness, just a bitter bomb. Maybe too lagerish bitter for my taste,
