ChrisBeest (43), Corvallis, Oregon, USA Feb 18, 2002 Pretty good, yet I’ve had better IPA’s. I do love those people at Deschutes though.
BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Apr 30, 2008 I liked this IPA, just for everyday, pick up a six pack drinking. A little more robust and malty, but the hops still have a place here but they are a little more on the floral and herbal side, and definitely not at the forefront. A well-balanced very good take on the style. Snojerk321 (1124), San Diego, California, USA Dec 17, 2007 Bottle. Not a big fan of English style IPA’s to start with. Had an aroma of wet herbal hops with some pine and lemon peel in the back drop. Had a strange finish, maybe a little too dry? Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 7, 2007 No longer the retail standard IPA for Deschutes--Hoppy, but more on the malty side of the spectrum for a PNW IPA. Spicy robust finish and well-balanced. blueturk (64), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Nov 5, 2007 Kind of a thin IPA, that pours with a nice white head. Could stand more of everything. Inversion is quite a bit better for an IPA. RSRIZZO (1078), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 7/27/2004. Aroma is a mild hoppy malt scent. Color is a nice orange with a faint haze. Carbonation is light with a thin head. Taste is hoppy, spicy and bitter. It all starts with a light/medium body that goes down smooth and a mild hop flavor coming on. The finish comes in with a spicy hop flavor followed by a very light malt flavor and finished up with a full hop bitterness. This is a nice easy drinking well balanced IPA.
