COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, itís an insiderís ride to fresh thrills.

Iíve had several tasting of this brew prior to reviewing. Iíve poured it in several different glasses and really enjoyed it most from my nonic pint. My overall impressions are that this is a beautiful pale ale in the English pub bitter/ale tradition with a unique and tasty American hop profile. In the aroma the sweet caramel and cereal like malt notes are in the fore, followed quickly by the citrus, tangerine and stone fruit like hops. Pours perfectly in the nonic pint with a light tan three finger head with small tight bubbles and just a bit of fluffiness. The taste is pitch perfect. The hops give you both a crisp and lingering bitterness with nice citrus, gentle pine and lemongrass. Very forward but never overpowering. The malts are sweet caramel and toffee, balanced and with a nice grain backbone. The palate is simply spot on and delightful for the style. Red Chair is both sessionable and well worth savoring. Red Chair isnít going to set the world on fire, but it is just so damn good. An easy drinker that defines the style and is always a welcome quaff at a very nice price. About $14.00 a 12 pack. Bound to be a crowd pleaser and very fridge worthy. Cheers

Pours a nice darker amber color with off-white head. Pine, citrus, and light fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice citrusy note.

Bright copper. Aroma is full of overripe fruit, bubblegum, higher phenols...jeez...Deschutes is usually reliable. Sweet front, again bubblegum alongside some pineapple/mango tropical fruit notes. Fairly bitter but the phenols are really distracting.

355 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma of grapefruit, hops and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, caramel, pine and a smooth bitter hop finish. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation.

Like the rust on the titular "Red Chair" at Mt. Bachelor she pours. I met the fellah that made this beer and he was quite a humble and unassuming gentleman, much like this liquid-enjoyment. Sometimes all a man asks for is a brew he can enjoy passionately, everyday for the rest of those days. The mixture of "not hurting your brain and tastebuds wondering if you actually enjoy it as much as you think you should" and "actually having enough flavour backbone to excite you" is priceless and should be duly rewarded. I feel like I get a Pale, a Red and a bit of Brown all in one offering. Itís ubiquitous and delicious. If I had to choose a craft beer for the people, tíwould be she.

Pours a coppery red with a thin white head. Aroma is all mash and grain. I hoped for more happiness and it lacks that. Itís more of a Scottish ale.

Tap at Parlor City. This is a great pale! Pours copper with big white head. Nose is sweet pineapple. Taste is a nice creamy sweetness with a good hop balance.

As advertised. Copper pour sunset flavor though nice. Malt hop blend perfecto. Nw hops yes pleasant. Citrus combo of several citrus fruits. Longer hoppy. Green lush untouched rapids and moist love come to mind. Cool session experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
