Bottle. Sorry cannot get into this beer. It is not bad but I do not see the point of removing the bitterness. It i indeed the case that the beer has the aroma of a nice IPA with mainly resin and pin notes, less fruit.
However the flavors are a letdown. One could call it smooth and clean I call it thin and watery. Something is definitely lacking and that is a solid hop profile. mainly malts and some hops in the finish that clash with a too thin body

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle; poured a reddish amber color with a very small off white head. Aroma was very much a good representation of a Pacific NW beer, reminding me of my recent trip there. Aroma of flowers, fruit and citrus. A very well balanced and quite tasty beer for the style. Not overly hoppy in terms of bitterness, but a good amount of nice floral and citrus hop flavor. Caramel malt provides a nice backbone. Could drink alot of this one.

Pours clear copper orange with a slightly off-white head. Nice retention and lacings. Looks good. Nice floral hop aroma, the pilsner malt comes through on the nose as well. Flavor is grainy, not much complexity, very VERY little bitterness. Light body wtih low carbonation. They call this an "experimental IPA." More like an experimental american/english hybrid pale ale with no hop bitterness. Strange. Won’t go for this one again, but only because I love hops and the bitterness that never goes away. I can see how those who don’t like hops would go for this one and feel good about themselves for branching out to an "IPA."

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours and amber copper color with thin white head. No real hoppy aroma to speak of. Fairly mild. flavor is nice, although more a pale ale than and IPA for me. Drinks nicely. Good flavor and balance, Overall real nice. Just not that hoppy, but reading the description they got what they were going for.

Served barely chilled into my 25cl tulip glass. A solid pour easily produces a four-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a clear, deep red color that shows a brilliantly clear, deep copper color when held up to the light. The aroma smells quite hoppy with a mix of pine and herbal notes up front followed by a solid citrus / fruit component that becomes the dominant notes. Aromas of peach, tangerine, caramelized grapefruit zest and a touch of kumquat peel. The finish has a biscuit like grain component as well as a mix of herbal hop and malt notes.
Because the beer is on the warm side it has a fuller mouthfeel to it, but this is in competition with a spritzy carbonation. The hop notes provide a biting, but well balanced bitterness in the finish and there is a lingering, herbal (sort of basil, menthol and perhaps a hint of hemp) note that sticks to the tongue and palate. This has a nice hop fruitiness to it (the most prominent flavor component of this beer) that adds notes of tangelo, lots of lychee, sweet kumquat peel, . My second pour of this is a bit cooler which actually mutes much of the bright hop flavors and makes this more herbal leaning in its hoppiness. It was better balanced above 60ºF / 16ºC, now the bitterness is a bit more present as well. This beer is nicely quaffable, light enough to be drinkable, but with just enough heft to carry the ample hops. The malt plays a nicely supporting role with an underlying touch of cracker like malt and a touch of caramel support.
This is a nicely hoppy beer, I have found that it needs to actually be served on the warm side to bring out it full breadth of flavors and it remains surprisingly balanced in to the mid 60ºF / around 18ºC range. This is not one of those over the top hopped IPAs, though it certainly isn’t shy with the hop character either.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma- Grapefruit, malty, resiny. Fruity esters, perfumey. Very nice.
Appearance- Fantastic clarity, copper color, obviously effervescent, small white head. Medium lacing.
Flavor- Not very sweet, great malt flavor, sort of nutty, with Hops at every level. The aromatics persist in the taste. There is a great ester quality. Moderstely bitter hop profile. Alcohol and carbonation can be tasted.
Palate- Highly carbonated. Carbonation combines with bitter hops to contribute to a very dry mouthfeel. Some alcohol warmth.
Overall Impression. Great Aroma and flavor. This is a well balanced beer that still showcases hops. The high carbonation is a little much, as it mucks up the mouthfeel.

on tap at papago...
clear orange - copper color with a soft off white head and random lace drips.
it smells slightly resinous on top of orange, pine, dry grass, earthy spice and pale malt.
the flavor has the same components along with peaches, grapefruit and dirt with a mellow lingering bitterness. it is very dry and earthy throughout.
it is medium in body with a tingly feeling on the tongue...man, this stuff is insanely drinkable! 7.5/3/8/5/17/4.05

Bomber. Pours clear golden orange with a lacy pale yellow head. The taste and aroma are loaded with all the good stuff that hops can give you. Softly bitter finish, sort of the west coast version of Two Hearted Ale. I really should have gotten a couple of these badboys.
