COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, it’s an insider’s ride to fresh thrills.

Just a wonderful beer from a great brewery. Citrus hops, malty goodness. A wonderful representation of a Northwest Pale Ale. Hopefully it makes its way to the east coast, just seems to be too much of an east coast, west coast beer "war" going on. Cheers!

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 Bright, clear copper with a puffy, off-white, lacing head. Aroma of oranges and apricots, caramel, spruce, grapes and flowers. The taste is fruity and malty with nice hoppy accents. Smooth, medium bodied and finishing slightly bitter. Very good APA.

Bottle.Poured an orange amber color with a smaller white head. Beer left bunch of lacing on the side of the glass as it went. Aroma was spruce, pine and malts. Flavor was sweet caramel, pines and hops. Well balanced with a malty backbone. Some subtle hop bitters in the finish. Outstanding beer.

I poured a 12 oz bottle into a small glass mug... The beer was a clear copper color with a thick cream colored head that stuck around. It smells of sweet caramel malt, fresh peaches and citrus. The taste consists of grassy hops, a lot of sweet malt and a spicy/ lemony aftertaste. The beer is light and coats the tongue until the soft, prickly carbonation washes over leaving the mouth dry. This beer has some great flavor and it’s not your typical pale ale, I could see myself getting this again.

M&Jsamplefest: Citrus, herbal nose. Grapefruit, caramel, toffee, and toasted flavors. I like this one.

Pours a copper color with a slight orange tint. Aroma is slightly floral with a hint of citrus. Taste is slightly bitter, with a mild sweetness of caramel. The aftertaste leaves you with a refreshing hint of citrus. This beer lives up to its billing as a smoother pale ale.

Pours a clear copper with large bubbled head that laces well. Hops are piney and well rounded. Slick resinous mouthfeel and very bitter. Lots of pine flavor. Very good beer.
