The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, itís an insiderís ride to fresh thrills.

Pours a dark reddish orange with a light tan head. Nice pine on the nose, lots of bright fruits and citrus, biscuity malt and a little sweetness. Really nice amount of malt on the taste, rounded out by nice floral and citrus hops and a hint of caramel. Really well made, malt forward pale ale;

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. now that is what I call a pale ale. Some malt some hop some valance some drinkability. Itís the kinda beer you could pints of. Or of which you could drink pints. And then argue about which sounds more betterer. Ho and indeed hum. Good beer.

Out of date bottle from Mother Kellyís, London, where the guy behind the counter told me it was OK to age IPA. No dude, itís not OK. Reddish orange colour. Definitely well-made and well-balanced, but pretty soft and uninspiring, maybe because of itís age. Grassy and almost lagery in carbonation. Decent.

Sampled from a bottle, this beer had a medium red pour with orange at the sides, and gave almost a two finger cover of off-white bubbles, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing, this drink had aromas of citrus, lemon and floral hops with a good toasted malt, a little bread and caramel, a little malt sweetness, the flavors were toasted malt, caramel and citrus hops, a little bread and about medium malt sweetness, the finish had a light to medium hop bitterness and gave a light bite that hung on for a bit, toasted malt and caramel trailed on the taste buds, it had a light mouth feel, creamy on the lips and had average carbonation, the hops were more noticeable on the tongue than the nose, it had had a nice toasted malt flavor, a very nice beer.

On tap at Brunzies. A little grassy and vegetal with cooked peas. Grain mash and fresh hop aroma. Medium coppery amber clear with creamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts mild with light caramel and a bit of fresh grassy hop character. Medium bitter notes in the finish with mild after.
