COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, itís an insiderís ride to fresh thrills.

Hoppy aroma, as expected with hints of tropical fruit and raisins. The appearance is rather amber like and not that pale, maybe red chair and pale ale is some kind of hybrid thing? The taste is a bit hoppy and some bitterness but the malt profile is rather present together with a (relatively) large portion of sweetness which I donít want in a pale ale.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pale amber with an off-white head. Aroma of mild fruit and malt. Taste is caramel, malt, mild fruitiness, and hints of pine with malt at the forefront. Good.

Aroma: lots of citrus and floral notes; Appearance: hazy copper pour with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: very lightly hoppy; some complexity but itís more in the background than the foreground; Palate: medium body with long, light hop finish; Overall: a nice APA but nothing remarkable.

Bottle in Las Vegas. Deep orange pour, thick off-white rocky head. Aroma of fruity hops, caramel malts, some resin and a hint of red fruits. Flavor is quite bitter, thick bodied and well balanced. Nice.

Poured from bottle into tulip glass. Pours golden and settles amber with a frothy tan head atop. A neutral aroma, but sweet to the sense. Medium bitterness with a malt taste, rather pleasant. Palate is sharp at first. Overall 15. Decent camping brew.

Poured from bottle with light golden color that settles to amber in the glass. Thick frothy tan head at top with a slightly fruity scent. Taste is smooth and not too bitter, to me tastes of a small amount of caramel. The palate is tender to the lips tongue and mouth. Overall 15. Decent camp fore beer.

valpoaj (729) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - JUN 28, 2016
Bottle pour - slightly reddish copper hue - modest white head with ample lacing. Aroma is piney hop forward, with citrus hops lingering in the background...plus a pretty decent yeasty malt feel - intriguing. Flavor is more malty than anticipated - the piney hop expectation is definitely present, but the bready malt backbone keeps things in line quite nicely - not the hop bomb I was anticipating by default. Palate is medium bodied - ample carbonation...easy drinking...admittedly a bit high ABV for such purposes, but this one is quite sessionable - solid overall!
