COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The citrus punch of a big IPA, minus the one-dimensional hop sledgehammer. Seven select European and domestic malts round out the edges for a complex, copper-colored brew. Like its namesake ski lift, it’s an insider’s ride to fresh thrills.

The build of this beer is definitely something to be enjoyed. Nice Copper hazy, with a dense creamy head. Nice amount of carbonation coming up from the middle. Smell is certainly the carastan malt, with some definite sweetness. Opposite of Cigar City’s Tocobaga Red. Mild hop aroma. Very nice mouthfeel, creamy. You can really taste the spicyness of the red malt in this one, which pairs nicely with the hop flavor. Not overly obnoxious, but well hopped. I could drink this all day. Not too forgiving. Enjoyability 4.5/5

Pours a clear copper colour with large long lasting off white head that leaves fantastic lace all up the glass. Aroma is sweet caramel, floral, tropical fruit, and citrus. Flavour is well balanced citrus, caramel, resin, a moderate mix of bitter and sweet, definitely didn’t expect the 6.2 abv. This is an extremely tasty and dangerously session-able!

I like this beer. Hop flavor that’s laid back, nice color and lacing. Great session beer. The aroma is the only part where I think it falls short, some of that nose from an IPA but very earthy otherwise, "holding back".

Tap. Poured clear ruby color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy spruce hop and earthy aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Solid brew.

Come across like a brown ale mated with an IPA. A caramel overtone mutes a medium bitterness. Overall an easy-going beer that packs a little punch at the finish.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours copper colored with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is resiny floral hops, tropical citrus, caramel malt. Tastes of piney hops, caramel malt, mild, and some off-putting butyric acidic notes late.

On tap at RIBCO, pours a clear golden orange with a bubbly white head and lacing, the aroma has a nice flowery touch with a little bit of citrus mixed in, the flavor has a nice floral front end with a balanced finish in the finish, all around pretty solid and enjoyable.

Pale ale as it should be. Deep orange pour with a long-living off-white head and a citrus aroma. Taste is just beautiful. Somewhat sweet robust malt flavor, with crispness and citrus complexity -- and just the right amount of bitterness -- courtesy of hops. Somehow manages to meld all that’s going on in a sublime medley that seems like it’s going to delve too deep into malt, but then pulls back to end crisply. Absolutely splendid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear medium amber with head that fades low but leaves great lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine hops with a great balance of bready caramel malts. Taste is sweet malts, then just a hint of resin as the hops make themselves known. The malts are never overpowered, and at best the hops make it 50/50. Everything melds into a well-blended aftertaste. Palate is medium-bodied and well carbonated. This is a very drinkable and enjoyable brew.

Copper pour with white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, with fruity and floral hops. Medium bodied. Well balanced between sweet malts and sprucey, floral hops. Super fresh and great for the style.
