2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a hazy honey color with off white head and not much lacing. Aroma is grainy malts. Taste is lightly sweet, decent malts with no hops to speak of except for a lightly bitter finish as the malts show their straw and corn. Finish fades quick, emphasizing the light and thin palate. A clean sipper that might be OK on a hot day, but not enough redeeming qualities to look for it again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden in color, but with a tint of caramelization, this golden ale has a really beautiful, foamy off-white head. It has a really nice, malty nose with a soft, grainy character. It’s not quite as smooth and easy in the mouth, but it is still very light and fresh, with more hops present and a slight bitterness to spice things up. I take my previous statement back. It’s still really smooth in the mouth. A touch of honey and its really interesting malt flavor really keeps me captivated. Despite its average reviews, it’s actually really darned good, especially for the style. It almost reminds me of an Oktoberfest in its maltiness, but with the much nicer characteristic of an ale. Love it.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a decent sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted golden grain malt, some sour-dough bread dough, and some earthy spice. Taste is light to medium bodied, average carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, a hint of floral hops, light bread yeast and a touch of swiss cheese. Finish is well-balanced between bitterness, golden grain malt and some bready yeast notes. A nice summer golden ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Golden hue, thin to moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Soft dough and grassy notes.   Faint spices, but too hard to distinguish what they are.   Smooth maltiness up front, a little grassy, a
touch of dough.   Clean and easy.   As it warms it gets a little mealy tho.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Pale bready finish, very pale, grassy, malty, mealy, with a touch of honey.   Not bad, light, clean,
probably a great one to sip on a super hot day, on the river no less!
