Here’s one that’s clean and refreshing enough for the long haul, but fully graced with hop aroma, malt heft and clear craft passion. Sit back, relax, and let the subtle pleasures reveal.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a decent sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted golden grain malt, some sour-dough bread dough, and some earthy spice. Taste is light to medium bodied, average carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, a hint of floral hops, light bread yeast and a touch of swiss cheese. Finish is well-balanced between bitterness, golden grain malt and some bready yeast notes. A nice summer golden ale.

Draught at Deschutes Brewery & Public House in Bend, OR. Minimally hoppy, with a slight sourness in the nose. Medium copper color. Thin mild maltiness, with some yeast and yogurt notes. Thin body. Nothing special here. Okay.

Nice clean, crisp ale. Light enough to be s session beer, but maintains a nice balanced taste

Bottle:   Golden hue, thin to moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Soft dough and grassy notes.   Faint spices, but too hard to distinguish what they are.   Smooth maltiness up front, a little grassy, a touch of dough.   Clean and easy.   As it warms it gets a little mealy tho.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Pale bready finish, very pale, grassy, malty, mealy, with a touch of honey.   Not bad, light, clean, probably a great one to sip on a super hot day, on the river no less!

3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Golden orange pour with a small off-white head. Lighter aroma, bready malts, light biscuit, a hint of citrus. Slightly better flavor, more bready malts, more of a citrus kick. Tasty enough.

Had a sample in a flight at Blue Palms. Solid, if unadventurous. Mild hops, very drinkable and refreshing.
