Hereís one thatís clean and refreshing enough for the long haul, but fully graced with hop aroma, malt heft and clear craft passion. Sit back, relax, and let the subtle pleasures reveal.

A sexy looking blonde that I wish had more personality...a lot like a lot of beautiful blonde women coasting on their looks. You can look at her but the conversation just isnít happening, you canít get anything but ditzy and empty giggles. I mean, theyíre pretty cute giggles, but you really want to know what she is thinking. Youíll always impress your Macro Lager swilling friends with this one but youíll secretly wish she was a dusky stout full of personality.

Aroma is citrus, very light dank/grassy hops and grainy malts. The flavor is citrus, fruit, light tropical fruit, a small hint of hop resin and a mildly bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2014 Pours a golden straw color with a nice white head. Aroma is weak with a hint of hops. I thought the taste was weak and bland. Had a bit of a bit on the back end with lemon and citrus. Not bad the 2nd time around.

Draft pour at sheffields. Golden orange. Has a very good taste for a low ABV beer. Crisp fruity and earthy taste. I like.

Pours a nice clear amber color with light white head. Some hops on the nose along with a little caramel malt; follows onto the palate. Pretty balanced and nice and light. Flavorful for the style.

murky amber, oily white cap. Grassy lemon and large caramel and orange nose. Orange front is heavy with sugary caramel mid before a watery, light toast finish, body too thick for profile, albeit refreshing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium off white head. Fades quickly. Aroma of bread and bright hop notes. Flavor is mildly bitter. Lots of sweet bread and mildly bitter hop notes. Light, effervescent, nice carbonation. Finishes bready and sweet.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a light hazy golden orange colored body with a two finger white foamy head that rises a bit and falls to a half finger coating the top of the body (nice show), foamy clingy spider web lacing graces the sides of the glass. The smell was herbal, but spicy peppery citrus/lemon. The taste was basically the same, but adds a decent malt presence, smooth sweet sticky aftertaste and finish. The palate was light, sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style and decent to me, nothing lacking and nothing really standing out. Overall, Deschutes makes some awesome stuff, this is not one of their better offerings, however, its still solid. If youíre wanting a blonde ale from the west coast, you can try this one, but this one isnít one to scream about.
