Here’s one that’s clean and refreshing enough for the long haul, but fully graced with hop aroma, malt heft and clear craft passion. Sit back, relax, and let the subtle pleasures reveal.

murky amber, oily white cap. Grassy lemon and large caramel and orange nose. Orange front is heavy with sugary caramel mid before a watery, light toast finish, body too thick for profile, albeit refreshing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium off white head. Fades quickly. Aroma of bread and bright hop notes. Flavor is mildly bitter. Lots of sweet bread and mildly bitter hop notes. Light, effervescent, nice carbonation. Finishes bready and sweet.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a light hazy golden orange colored body with a two finger white foamy head that rises a bit and falls to a half finger coating the top of the body (nice show), foamy clingy spider web lacing graces the sides of the glass. The smell was herbal, but spicy peppery citrus/lemon. The taste was basically the same, but adds a decent malt presence, smooth sweet sticky aftertaste and finish. The palate was light, sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style and decent to me, nothing lacking and nothing really standing out. Overall, Deschutes makes some awesome stuff, this is not one of their better offerings, however, its still solid. If you’re wanting a blonde ale from the west coast, you can try this one, but this one isn’t one to scream about.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nothing bad by a long stretch, just absolutely easy going stuff. Massive quaffer and slightly sweet. Solid easy going drink

Barreras (1295) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAR 5, 2014
Pours a clear vibrant yellow with a clean malt aroma. Taste is clean as the yellow color but there is a slight unfiltered water taste. Coupled with a light pepper flavor this beer was quirky. A decent everyday drinking beer but nothing too complex.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves reasonable lacing. Passionfruit, melon and floral hops mix with light biscuit malt to create the aroma. Passionfruit and mild lime hops up front give way to a floral flavour leading into the mid-palate. This offers biscuit malt, which leads into ginger in the finish. There’s nothing over-the-top about this one; it is a study in restrained brewing, offering up a range of subtle, pleasant hops flavours and a nice crisp feel. Good stuff.

Aroma of soggy biscuits and town house crackers, also floral hops. Medium orange color. Unexpected grapefruit bittersweet taste, seems more hop than malt from this angle. Pretty smooth body, but just as filling as a heavier amber. Enjoyable.

Nice crystal hop aroma, bright & golden, great malty hoppy balance especially for a low alcohol beer. Light body with a nice biscuit finish. I will drink the heck out of this palatable session ale.
