Nice copper color, aroma is light with a hint of malt sweetness. On taste, you can pick up a hint of hops, but not much. Light to medium bodies beer.

Near clear dark gold pour with a two finger, creamy white head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is soft fruity esters, light citrus, light mineral, caramel, buttered bread and a little toffee. Favor is mineral, sweet citrus, caramel, sweet fruity esters, light passion fruit and a hint of grapefruit to the finish. Light body, crisp to slightly chalky, medium, somewhat sharp carbonation. Tasty stuff, lots of depth in flavor for the ABV%, still suffers a bit from the buttery notes in many Golden Ales.

Bottle at home. Amber pour. Fizzy carbonation. Aroma has grapefruit, apple, earth. Very light bodied, Savory, grainy malt underneath. Fruity hop profile with apricot and pine. Underlying yeasty notes, almost Belgian-ish. Super clean and crisp finish. Nothing to it, but I kind of like how it comes together.

SPDickerman (1032) - Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2015
Pours coppery orange with a small white head. Smells fruity, citrus, hints of caramel. Taste is bitter, citrusy, hints of pine. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Deschutes River Ale finishes with a smooth, lingering bitterness.

Can pick out the cascades in this. Crisp and grainy, pretty full on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bland. All I get is the bitterness. Just not enough body, even for a lighter, session beer like this.

Bottle. Orange tan color with dwindling head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Citrus hop notes throughout with crisp grains and smooth finish. Medium light bitterness, especially for a golden blonde ale. A very tasty summer beer.

Bottle.A: Semi-clear copper with a firm white head.N: Pine, cracker, grapefruit, leaves, earth, some yeast and esters. Not strong.T: Light bitterness and some malt expression. M: Light body, fuzzy carbonation, no alcohol. O: An undefined beer. Light flavors all around but clean. Don’t know what else I would take here.

This beer we rated like it was a Pilsner. Although it wasn't a beer we would go out of our way to purchase it.
