COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally called Daddy Issues and brewed for Portland Cheers to Belgian Beers 2011. Sour Raz beer has been aging and undergoing a secondary fermentation in oak. Two strains of Brettanomyces, Oregon raspberries and 14 months above our hearth have given us a lightly sour, easy drinker.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom, pours a cloudy golden orange with a tiny head. Aroma brings out added raspberries atop a tart wheaty base. Flavour is quite sharp and acidic, with fresh raspberries atop an acidic base. Well-balanced sour wheat beer with high drinkability. Good stuff.

Tap @ their Portland location... Poured hazy, amber/orange with a thin, bubbly head. Nose had mild funk and a hint of berries. Light mouthfeel, mellow carbonation. Some musky funk tones and a light acidity. Light fruits, earthy, malty sweet, raspberries and strawberreies come through too. Nice drinking, not totally sour.

poured from tap into a snifter. Pours an orange/red color with a small head. There is a real noticeable tartness to this on the nose. It’s certainly on the sour side of things with aromas of funk, sour cherries, navel oranges and tart citrus aromas. Very complex and very aromatic. Really good medium body with a really good feel. This has a real savory quality to it with flavors of funk, sour cherries and some tart navel oranges as well. This had a real gueuze-like quality to it. I had to have it right away looking at the tap list.
