3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
portland pub, 2012: nice example of an English style IPA, which is not my preferred type :) hops are floral, fruity and above all spicy. Balanced biscuit and a little toffee malt.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and summer fruit flavor with light floral notes. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Summer fruit and light grapefruit linger with woodsiness and light floral notes.

On tap and the Bend brewpub. A bit dark for an IPA nearly a Mahogany. Clear with a bit of a light tan head. Rather sweet malty aroma. Strange spicy flavor. Sweet and malty with lots of mild hop flavor but not a lot of bitterness. Very nice example of an English IPA.
