COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional farmhouse ale has been brewed with 5 different malts and a plethora of spices. the peppery, herbal and fruity aromas and flavors are the dominate character of this ale, highlighted by clean, crisp resfeshing finish.

On tap at Portland brewery about a month ago. Not one of Deschutes best. Pours golden yellow with a few white clings. Aroma of bubblegum and tea. Taste is similar with a few florals. Weak palate.

Vertical Bacon Strips (1698) - Asshat, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 19, 2010
Pint at deschutes in Portland. Lightly hazy orange gold with a tiny white cap. Light funk, apples, fruity, aromatic, bread crusts(weaker), lemon meringue, orange, dough, faint spice. T: lemon, breast spice, light sour apple, mild yeast spice. Finishes with a weak citrus spice and a light costing. Needs work but still tasty.
