Flavor is a wonderful blend of everything that is going on in the aroma. No one Flavor dominates the others, itís perfectly balanced. A true work of art. Thanks Lectvay for the bottle!

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee and chocolate. Taste is strong coffee, very bitter. Way too much, needs pulling back. Not that good.

Bottle, 2011 vintage, thnx to Duffman for sending me this. Pours a pitch black beer with a big, tanned head on top consisting out of small bubbles. Aroma is incredibly full, loads of molasses, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, coffee. Flavor has loads of wood, loads of sweet stuff, licorice and coffee with chocolate in the finish. Very much complexity going on here, very full bodied with low carbonation. This is amazing stuff, definitely worth itís top 50 status.

Davros (1999) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2014
Pours black, thick, with a dark tan head. Nose shows soft woody oak, faint red wine notes, heacy roast, some sweet rich molassess, chocolate and toasty/bready malt. Bittersweet flavours with lots of roast countered by molasses sweetness. Some booze along with a little vanilla oak notes and a hint of bourbon. More red wine too. Very well-balanced.

600ml bottle served in a snifter glass. 2009 Reserve edition. Best after: 11/1/2010 printed in the left side of the label. A: Pours a deep brown to black color forming a absolutely beautiful creamy and thin bubbled beige to brow head. Multi tonalities of brown lacings are formed on the top. Excellent retention and only small spotty lacings left in the glass. A thin layer remains forever on the top S: Very sweet and malty upfront. Strong notes of wood, dark chocolate and coffee. Strong notes of dark fruits, mix of grapes, raisins and figs, mainly. Licorice and caramel. Roasted malts and a some notes of alcohol in the end T: Perfect taste. Sweet upfront with strong notes of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, roasted malts, caramel, caramel malts, oak, grapes, raisins, figs, smoked malts... End is bitter but not extremely. Bitterness is mainly made of roasted malts than hops M: Heavy body. Creamy and molasses. Medium to low carbonation. Roasted malts bitter aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. A perfect beer is hard to judge [ BA Review @ 2/17/2013 ]

Garlic_of_Doom (478) - SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2014 2012 bottling. Pours black with a espresso coloured head. Aroma has lots of bourbon, chocolate pudding, liquorice and sweetness. Taste has chocolate, bourbon, liquorice, soy, sweetness and a nice bitterness at the end. Almost full bodied, low carbonation, soft and round mouth feel.
Very easy to drink, perhaps a wee bit to heavy on the bourbon. Still, very good.
