Wax dipped 650 ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby hue with almost no head. The aroma is sweet strawberries and some oak. The flavor is dominated by a lively fizzy pomegranate and strawberry, some oak and vinous flavors, vanilla, light toffee. Quite dry and drinkable, not warm at all. Immensely fruity.

Thanks to illidurit for this one. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, some tart vinous fruit, wood, candy sugar, slight vinegar, and hints of vanilla. Flavor is similar- candy sugar, vinous fruit, some tart cherries, a subdued oaky sweetness. Medium in body and definitely one that requires contemplation and preponderance. I could sit and drink this one and try to pull various flavors out of it.

Bottle thanks to baker, thanks again! Pour is surprisingly light and clear for a Quad. Very clear light clean copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is huge sugary malt with hints of butterscotch, very light spice, and a hint dried apricot. Luckily, flavor is less sweet, Still rock candy/ marshmallow sweet malt up front. But then notes of pepper, light butterscotch, light fruity sweetness (possibly pomegranate but I would not have picked that out if I had not read it), and a touch of orange liqueur. This is pretty sweet, but not quite cloying. What keeps me coming back for more sips is the smooth, buttery finish. It really makes this worth while.

Bomber. Clear amber pour, thing off-white head. Very fruity, sweet, lightly spicey, plum, pomegranate, some oak in the background, rye, and warming booze. Pretty good, just not as good as other deschutes special releases.

Excellent taste and aroma. Beautiful even head, great color and so smooth. God bless Oregon!

It pours honey amber in color, much lighter than expected, with a decent off white head. The aroma brings notes of the rye and subtle berries. The flavor starts out a bit sweet and syrupy, then settles on the palate a bit dry, spicy, with notes of the Belgian yeast and rye.

Bottle. Buttery aroma with lots of yeast character. Pepper, clove, light banana, and some tropical fruit. Clear gold with no head. Less sweet than the nose insinuates, lots of fruit and spice. Chewy texture with a dry finish.

Tastes like a hoppy wheat beer with a shot of whiskey dropped in. Brewed in whiskey barrels. Pretty harsh! The whiskey is way to dominant unless you love whiskey. If you do I believe you will love this beer. I do taste the wine barrel which is more pleasing to me. It’s a well crafted beer but not in my pleasure zone. I only tried it because it was a Deschutes. A disappointment for me.

Tap at the saucer. Pours a clear copper orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma is peanut brittle, wood, white wine and grapes with a slight sweetness. Flavor is sweet Belgian fruit and yeast, brown sugar, wood and a bit of spice. There is a nice warming tingle on the finish that makes this very good, just watch yourself on this one!!

Brown, cloudy, not much head. Dark fruit aroma and flavor dominate this one. I guess I don’t recognize what the oak aging does. Quite drinkable for 11%.
