22 ounce from Northwest Liquid Solutions. Pours and smells like a tripel. Taste is sweet and candy sugar. The oak and pomegranate give off an odd taste toward the end that has you wondering. Yeasty aftertaste. I guess I understand now why people were confused by this one.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a large creamy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and banana. Thin mouthfeel with a fruity malt and oak and nice lingering finish. Hides the alcohol well, a very good quad from Deschutes.

Bottle. Orange pour. Sour beer aroma (funk). Also a little pomegranate and oak. Taste is complex. I detect some oak, rye, and dried fruits. Alcohol is hidden well. Beer does not taste as good when it warms. Taste is a little too hot with alcohol when this occurs. Medium/heavy body.

Draught at Toronado SD. Clear medium amber with a ring of light beige for a head. Huge fruity nose--yeasty banana, mod caramel and candi sugar, raisin, lighter pomegranate. Light wine barrel, rye whiskey behind. Flavor continues to be quite fruity and sweet, the esters typical of what I donít enjoy from US made Belgian styles. The barrel does help a bit, also adding some vanilla. Dry finish (surprisingly), bitterness peaked at a 2. Not too Mich alcohol. Low carbonation with a full body. Too bad Iíve got a bottle at home.

Wax dipped 650 ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby hue with almost no head. The aroma is sweet strawberries and some oak. The flavor is dominated by a lively fizzy pomegranate and strawberry, some oak and vinous flavors, vanilla, light toffee. Quite dry and drinkable, not warm at all. Immensely fruity.

Thanks to illidurit for this one. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, some tart vinous fruit, wood, candy sugar, slight vinegar, and hints of vanilla. Flavor is similar- candy sugar, vinous fruit, some tart cherries, a subdued oaky sweetness. Medium in body and definitely one that requires contemplation and preponderance. I could sit and drink this one and try to pull various flavors out of it.

Bottle thanks to baker, thanks again! Pour is surprisingly light and clear for a Quad. Very clear light clean copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is huge sugary malt with hints of butterscotch, very light spice, and a hint dried apricot. Luckily, flavor is less sweet, Still rock candy/ marshmallow sweet malt up front. But then notes of pepper, light butterscotch, light fruity sweetness (possibly pomegranate but I would not have picked that out if I had not read it), and a touch of orange liqueur. This is pretty sweet, but not quite cloying. What keeps me coming back for more sips is the smooth, buttery finish. It really makes this worth while.

Bomber. Clear amber pour, thing off-white head. Very fruity, sweet, lightly spicey, plum, pomegranate, some oak in the background, rye, and warming booze. Pretty good, just not as good as other deschutes special releases.

Excellent taste and aroma. Beautiful even head, great color and so smooth. God bless Oregon!
