Gold, thin white head. Aroma is harsh, bitter bark and grapefruit with honey/malt sweetness. light-medium body. more of that harsh bitterness in the flavor, what I have in the past associated with oxidized beer (lost a couple points with this) berry, light citrus and grass. lingering light bitterness. Definitely a light american pale ale.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Wombata (210) - Kobe, JAPAN - SEP 29, 2011
On tap at the brew house in P town 2009. Aroma: Light yeastiness, Bireley’s artificial orange soda
Flavor: Mid: orange soda, malt / Final: grassy finish.
Overall: The artificial soda flavor sinks it for me.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 21, 2011
What an awesome seasonal summer blonde ale! This brew poured up an amber colored body with a two-finger pearl white bubbly head with moderate retention and lacing effects on the glass. Strong aromas of hops and citrus fruits and flavors are the same; strong hops and citrus notes throughout but enough malts to mellow it out on the palate. Medium-light body and a smooth, easy-drinking brew.

Pours a clear golden color with a thick creamy white head...great lacing. Aroma is faing but refreshing...lightly herbal, faint citrus and floral notes, tea, lt malty notes. Flavor follows suit and has very a very fresh tasting hop profile that has soft spice. Mouthfeel is slightly thin but the finish is dry and refreshing with herbal citrus. Very drinkable beer!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 4, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint.
Appearance: Clear blonde-gold with bright white head and light lacing rings.
Aroma: Mostly citrus and spicy hops, mild pale malts.
Taste: Very light malt backbone allows the hops to shine through, with citrus, pine and an overall spicy bitterness.
Palate: Moderately high carbonation, light body, dry finish and quite crisp overall.
Overall: Very drinkable summer ale that does not seem to quite fit any style. Too light to be an APA (as categorized here), too carbonated and too "American" to be an English Bitter (as it has been awarded in the past) - seems to be a hoppy American Blonde. No matter the style, it is very sessionable.

Pours clear yellow with white head, aroma has notes of some pine, touch of grass, some biscuit, touch of grain and earth. Taste is clean but fairly hoppy, clean pine and biscuit notes with a slight bitter, earthy, biscuit finish.

Smells like summer, medium pale yellow, quickly fading white head... some mild lacing... Lightly grassy hops, some mild malts, hops are way more pungent than the malts, aroma of a pilsener, grassy, saaz??... lingering finish, drinks as an ale, lightly dry finish, medium light body, decent flavors, kinda boring... average...

Nice clean malt aroma. Medium hazy yellow with a persistent white head. Nice cereal/grain malt profile with a very light sweetness balanced by a medium dry, grassy bitterness. Medium bodied. Leaves a the light dry bitterness behind on the tongue. Very nice summer beer.

From a bottle. Came back to this one after a long time away, and wasn’t disappointed. It is exactly what it bills itself to be -- a light, refreshing summer seasonal. It isn’t lacking in flavor, though. Pours a transparent yellow-orange, with a small off-white head. Very faint aroma with candied lemons, some grass, and biscuits. Flavor is a lovely transition from a very detectable (though still very mild) hop presence on the front end, to a maltier, more biscuity back end. This is a great summertime refresher, and it’s sessionable to boot. I like it.
