COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lighter, yet full-flavored, aromatic Ale for the long days of summer. Twilight’s solid malt foundation pairs with distinctive Amarillo hops for flavors every bit as intriguing as bigger, heavier ales. A back porch, lingering sunset wonder.

Thin head. With an almost clear, medium straw colored body. Smells like wheat and roses. Interesting and unexpected. Mild taste of honey, mild bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Fizzy texture, moderate carbonation and medium body. A fine enough drink.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazed orange pour with a white. Sweet orange marmalade and toasted biscuits on the nose. Some slight apple tang and grassy hops. Quite bland on the palate. Soda water, bread, and toasted malt. Grassy hops, straw, and a bit of toast. Slight orange peel flavor and bitterness. Kind of tangy dough and apple finish.

Bottled. Poured clear, medium golden with a sticky white head.. looked good in the glass. The aroma picked up soft biscuit and wheaty malts with fresh accents of pine, grass, and mango.. some deeper honey sugars as it warmed.. very nice. The flavor found similar.. honey, wheat, and lesser biscuity notes at the core with fresh pine and citrusy bitterness around.. crisp bitterness balanced well against tasty sweetness on the finish. Light-medium bodied with creamy carbonation on the palate.. balance was spot-on, and it was very drinkable.

Pours a nice copper color with a fair head and bits of lacing. Aroma of citrus, fruit, bit of malt and grain. Taste of citrus, bit of malt sweetness and light fruit. Nice bitterness and the finish is quite dry. Moderate body, crisp, smooth and refreshing. Has a nice clean feel about it. Enjoyable beer for kicking back with on a summer evening.

[Rating from a bottle of Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale] Amarillo hops? I’m interested. It has a nice pour, golden bodied with a tall creamy head. Lots of lace. It has a solid aroma of tangerines, tart oranges, and a touch of zest. The flavor begins with a subtle cereal sweetness, soon joined by citrus flavors and a mild, yet pleasing, bitterness that lingers, creating a dry and satisfying finish. Most certainly a beer worth repeating.

Clear light yellow body. Big white foamy head. Aroma of lemon and malt. Spiced malty lemon pledge taste. Only ok.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours an orange golden color with a small white head of foam. The head fades relatively quickly, leaving a moderate level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – An orange citrus and bready smell are the strongest of the aromas, with them being mixed with some light caramel smells as well. Along with these smells are some grapefruit and a bit of pine as well as hints of a grassy smell. Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor that is mixed with a decently sweet and hoppy citrus flavor of orange sweetness and grapefruit hop. As the taste advances it seems to become slightly less sweet with some of the orange fading a bit and being replaced by a bit more grapefruit hop. All the while other hop flavors of a grassy and pine nature develop on the tongue and while lighter upfront, pick up stream as the flavor moves to the end. A little bit of caramel and some grain come at the very end of the taste leaving a nice balanced and clean flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. The higher carbonation was great for creating a more crisp and refreshing brew with the average body still upholds the nice flavor profile well. Overall – A very tasty summer style ale with lots of flavor and a great balance. This is a go to.

Golden, clear, white head and mild lacing. Lemon, grain, and mild floral aroma. Lite bodied, lemony, biscuit, tongue tingler, dry finish, and lite-medium bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours cloudy golden red with a white head. Good lacing. Aromas are very subtle--slightly sweet malt with a hint of hops. There’s not much flavor upfront, but suddenly there’s a burst of sweet malt and piney hops. There’s also a hint of fruitiness in there. Strawberry? Sweet orange? Nice, lingering hop bite finishes with bready notes, and a fairly dry, finish. Medium mouthfeel with somewhat low carbonation. This is really very nice.

12o brown bottle. Gold, fairly clear. Creamy low sitting white cap. Nose has some toasty malt, orange and light peach. Taste has mild malts, light fruitiness, citrusy hops. Some bready malt and citrus hops in the aftertaste. Light bitterness. A decent beer, light but enough going on to make it drinkable.
