Nice and smooth taste with a malty mouthfeel - nice hints of spices that intermix with the malts and hops for an interesting seasonal.

Very wonderful, light, crisp ale. A good summer beer. Light golden body with a thin white head. Beutiful hoppy aroma. Not sure how to identify taste except that it was bitter and slightly sweet.

Bottle amidst the glory of Denali Nat’l Park. Orange and very active with anice pillowy head. Very fruity with an interesting aroma. Almost like an orange soad at first, but then a nice herb-laden malty flavor pours thru with a restrained hop finish.

pours a very nice golden color, almost clear. Very little head with moderate to low carbonation. Aroma of citrus and sweet hops. Taste starts off sweet and ends bitter with a nice malty finish, kinda of wheaty like Fat tire finishes. /i love this new brew, I hope they make it into a year round beverage soon for my own sake. Thanks Deschutes.

Mid orange colour. I really like this. Despite being tasted with an interruption it’s a beer that really intregues me. Like piney sorta cascade nose but wonderful mouthfeel. Like drinking freesia petals. It really is the best example of drinking a smell ive had in a while. Mid toffee notes with a light cloying, potpouri perfume hop bitterness and a touch of mandarin. Wonderful...

The only "summer" beer wrthy of the name summer. Young apricot color with a luscious, creamy white head that lasts the first half of the beer. Earthy, bitter, delicius amarillo hop presence. The flavor begins with rich, tame malt character followed by a quick, sweet, citrus finish. Light to medium body thinly coats the palate and lingers from sip to sip. Enjoy this beer liberally.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a cream colored fluffy head. Rich aromas of toffee, citrus, and grass. Taste of juicy citrus and berry with lightly sweet cereal malt and a mildly bitter finish. Light to medium body with a slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. Balanced and rich yet drinkable. A really nice little pale.

What an awesome seasonal summer blonde ale! This brew poured up an amber colored body with a two-finger pearl white bubbly head with moderate retention and lacing effects on the glass. Strong aromas of hops and citrus fruits and flavors are the same; strong hops and citrus notes throughout but enough malts to mellow it out on the palate. Medium-light body and a smooth, easy-drinking brew.

Best By: 09/01/11. Thanks to kp for depositing this beer on my doorstep!

Appearance: Pours out a modestly hazy, orange-gold body with a lofty, foaming, white head. Thin flecks of lace on the way down.

Smell: Has a pleasantly juicy, citrusy nose, smelling of Valencia oranges and grapefruit accompanied by a bit of stonefruit. Faintly grainy malts certainly come secondary, as does a small bit of hopspice.

Taste: Lightly caramelized sugars overlaying crisp toasted grains. Slight honey notions here and there. A few drops of Georgia peach juice fuses with full drizzles of ’no pulp’ orange juice and ruby red grapefruit juice. Spicy herbaceousness closes out the juice parade. The hop bitterness is fairly gentle, leaving this a sweetish, juicy brew. Slightly acidic. Drying, soft finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: As a pale ale released as a summertime seasonal, I fully expected something a bit lighter, which it was, and served me fairly well on this sweltering summer afternoon.
