chokmah33 (108), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jun 30, 2008 Belgian yeasty smell, earthy vegetable + grass. Slight perfumey citrus hops aroma. Minor spice notes (coriander, cinnamon, anise).
Bland flavor of lemon, mild malts.
Mediocre hops in the finish.
ajm (372), California, USA Oct 7, 2008 Bottle from Liquor Depot. Fairly fresh and it showed. I would have this again, not for the non-existant aroma, but for the nice appley flavor of hops that are extraordinarily reminiscent of a Three Floyds beer - especially Pride and Joy. Wow. What an inexpensive W-Coast alternative to that. maeib (4012), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Oct 1, 2008 Bottled. A golden orange coloured beer with a little whitish head. The aroma is quite pleasant but subtle citrus hoppy. Oranges and sweet grapefruit in the mouth. Fairly bitter but the hops are again nicely subtle. Nice. golubj (1037), Redwood City, California, USA Sep 15, 2008 Sampled at Stone Brewing. I thought it was sweet, spicy and grainy; and for some reason I wrote down it makes me moist, I am certain this comment made sense in the context of the tasting situation. oreogobbler (174), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 15, 2008 Very clean, crisp, fruity aroma. Lemon rind, orange or tangerine, and maybe some grapefruit juice. Pours a very clear light orange, almost yellow with a white patchy head. Very fruity with just the right amount of hop bitterness. The palate is not to thick, clean, and and enjoyable. Nothing special, but a good session beer. I’d love to drink it often. slimchill (656), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Strong citrus peel aroma, very clean grapefruit and orange. Simple but very nice. Clear orange/yellow with a short lived and then patchy white head. One-dimensional but very tasty orange hop flavor, medium bitterness and a clean finish, if somewhat bland. A bit thin but good sharp carbonation gives a nice mouthfeel. Solid all-around.
