This German Weizenbock is dark brown in color and full of flavor. Wonderful aromas of bananas, bubble gum, and clove rise from this delicious elixir. The wheat, crystal, and chocolate malts used in this beer give it a medium body with a nice smooth finish. Prost!.

Bottle at the pre-Borefts tasting, Den Haag, 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is roasty, light liquorice, fruit, hops. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet with a rich roasty alcoholic, medicinal, molasses palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap @ their Portland Pub... Poured dark, reddish, brown with a thick, beige head. Wonderfully everescent, with some banana clove tones. Wheat malts, spices, and a floral quality. High carbonation helped mask the higher alcohol.

Growler. Thanks ak! Pours a cloudy dark brown with ruby edges. Big coke and iced tea nose. Smells like a fruity graveyard from the fountain faucets. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Banana, cola, and iced tea finish.

Growler, thanks Alex! Pours a clear very dark mahogany brown with pillowy grayish white head. Nice blast of balanced clove, banana and wheaty esters. Green bananas, lots of clove and esters with light chocolate notes. Pretty solid...a touch thin in the body and the tart (green banana) lower it for me a bit.

5 ounce sample on tap at the Pub in Portland, OR. Has a nice, dusty, wheat present in the nose along with some banana esters. Faint sweetness. Moderately opaque mahogany body present with a creamy tan head. Good lacing. Attractive brew. Lightly sweet start, becoming mildly astringent with yeast banana esters. A little roastiness follows with a small ethanol kick later on.

[2991-20100627] Tap. Mild yeasty bread dough aroma with mild plastic hints. Murky, dark red brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Thickened malt syrup flavour has mild caramel notes. Medium body. Interesting to try, fairly boozy.

2010-06-27. Hazy dark brown body, with a modest beige head. 3+ Estery aroma, touch of rough alcohol modest sweet malt. 6+ Flavour is similar, estery character, dry alcoholic finish, tangy caramel malt. Touch of cloves or am I imagining it? 6+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Nice but just good, not great. On tap at Deschutes, Portland
