2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the pub. Pours clear reddish copper with a thick tan head. Aroma is citrus, earthy, roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt and hops. Mouth feel is a bit thin. An interesting beer, I like the combination of strong hops and roasted earthy malt.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2013 Citrus, bread crust aroma. Fruity, spicy hop flavor; with bready malt and a light caramel sweetness that goes pretty well with the fruity flavor.
On cask at The Bayou: Not changing the score, but on cask this had a more pronounced fruity hop flavor--more "tropical" than I remember from the CO2 draft.

Copper, clear, off-white head. Aroma of resiny and citrusy hops, some caramel. Flavor of bready malt with caramel and some toast, resiny hop bitterness with some citrus. Finish is balanced. Very drinkable.

On draft at the pub. This is a nice sessionable pale ale. Huge Citra hop character, subtle roasted malts, hint of caramel. Easy drinking, solid beer.

Growler. One thing, I shouldn’t be able to drink 40 ounces and be dead sober- damn you Brigham Young! Pours a clear amber color with a large white sticky head. A nice nose of caramel and light fruit. The red ale elements dominate with a earthy and grainy and quite dry malty base, certainly a bit of fruity hops but they don’t shine, I mean they are there but compare this to a FFF Zombie Dust, I dare you. The alcohol limits hurt this beer’s potential .Still, very drinkable and decent.
