Nightcap at Beerhive. Clear gold and copper color with a soapy, white head and foamy lacing. Aroma is straight hops which I assume are citra (I’m no hop expert). Flavor is more fresh hops, a little grass and mild bitterness. Nice

On tap at the pub. Pours clear reddish copper with a thick tan head. Aroma is citrus, earthy, roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt and hops. Mouth feel is a bit thin. An interesting beer, I like the combination of strong hops and roasted earthy malt.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2013 Citrus, bread crust aroma. Fruity, spicy hop flavor; with bready malt and a light caramel sweetness that goes pretty well with the fruity flavor.

On cask at The Bayou: Not changing the score, but on cask this had a more pronounced fruity hop flavor--more "tropical" than I remember from the CO2 draft.

Copper, clear, off-white head. Aroma of resiny and citrusy hops, some caramel. Flavor of bready malt with caramel and some toast, resiny hop bitterness with some citrus. Finish is balanced. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at the pub. This is a nice sessionable pale ale. Huge Citra hop character, subtle roasted malts, hint of caramel. Easy drinking, solid beer.

On tap at the brewpub
Appearance: Clear dark amber with a medium sized frothy off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Fruity and caramel
Taste: Fruity, light caramel, grainy with a mild pine bitterness in the finish
A nice beer, but the more I drank the sweeter it got.

Growler. One thing, I shouldn’t be able to drink 40 ounces and be dead sober- damn you Brigham Young! Pours a clear amber color with a large white sticky head. A nice nose of caramel and light fruit. The red ale elements dominate with a earthy and grainy and quite dry malty base, certainly a bit of fruity hops but they don’t shine, I mean they are there but compare this to a FFF Zombie Dust, I dare you. The alcohol limits hurt this beer’s potential .Still, very drinkable and decent.
