Poured from a growler. Nose of sweet raspberries, slight chocolate. Flavor of raspberries, chocolate, tart, slight roasted malts. This reminds me more of a porter with the sweet raspberries. Not a bad beer.

Draft @ Brewpub: Dark black, tan head, light lacing. Nose of chicory, subtle raspberry and chewy creamy roast. Not quite sweet enough for chocolate but far off from coffee. Creamy body, berry is there in the tail but not sweet. Obviously extract. Not bad though.

On tap at the brewery
Appearance: Black with a nice tan head and some lacing
Aroma: Raspberry, roasted malts
Taste: Raspberry, roasted malts, coffee
This had to much raspberry that it overpowered the rest of the beer. Other than that it was a decent stout.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a nice off-white head. The aroma is mostly coffee and burnt malt, but with a hint of raspberry. The taste is also mostly strong coffee and burnt malt flavors. As with the head the raspberry is really in the finish and quite light, but nice. I enjoyed this beer. Too thin for my taste, but damn good.

Pitch black with a medium tan head. Odd grassy and fuel nose with some old, over-ripe raspberries and other fruit notes. some vanilla and oily maple as well. The fuesal qualities are too large... reminds me of the arcid smell of burning plastic. Fizzy texture, medium bodied and overcarbonated. Sharp plastic, fuel and grassy off flavors with a noticable buttery infection flavor.
