Dark brown. opaque, tan bead. Aroma of bready and biscuity malt, cocoa, a little roast. Flavor is similar but more roasty, and some dry baker's chocolate. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at the pub. Lots of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Nice and creamy, the mouth feel is great. A nice cask beer for the winter.

Had in 48oz. pitcher. Listed as powder hound at sampling time. nice brown bottle pour dark chocolate off-white somewhat pillowy head. nose is dry roasty toasty, dark chocolate malt. The taste is a foward roasty character followed by a dark chocolate and dark malt sweetness, at end a kind of citrus/clove hop profile. Seemed a bit of less mouthfeel to it than most other porters ive drank. and with student i.d. pitchers are only 6.50! overall good porter, nice dry roast taste, just wish the body was a bit more full to compensate.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep dark brown with a swirling powerful head. The aroma is mostly coffee and a dry roasted malt. The flavor is damn good; some coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of hops. Really quite nice, with a good mouth feel and a excellent example of a porter. One of the best beers you will find in Utah. Re-rate: had this on tap again, really quite hoppy, lots of metallic and grapefruit hops, Very nice. This beer is now listed as the Black Sky Porter.
