On tap at the Bayou, SLC. Pours a clear dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of simple roasted malt. Flavor is more complex - roasted malt with chocolate (like chocolate covered pretzels) and a mild saltiness. A good swartzbier, strong palate too. 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

on tap 7/22/10. rootbeer color with an off white head. holy hot dogs aroma and flavor! straight uncooked weiners from out of their package smoked meatiness!... mixed in are notes of barley, chocolate, toasted nuts and florals. the flavor finishes with a light sourness, grain husky bitterness and some sour smoke. . the medium body is crisp and highly drinkable.... if you like hot dogs. 6/4/6/4/14/3.4

omhper (23731) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 26, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown, minimal head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with light-medium body and clean, hard mouthfeel. Focus shifts from caramel over treacle and butter to coffee in the finish. The malt feels hard and edgy giving the beer a lifeless impression.

Deep brown with a nice tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee and nuts with a little caramel. Flavor is smooth with lots of chocolate and dark malts and coffee with little hops. FInish is still smooth with a bite of bitterness.
