3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Just came across these notes from last winter (draft at brewery): Cloudy. Rusty orange hue. Fluffy head with nice lace. Crisp and light on the tongue. Doughy, cakey, earthy malts with a burnt edge. Citrusy (orange and sugared lemon). Fair amount of bitterness, especially in the finish. A little rough around the edges, but definitely one of the best I had at Desert Edge.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap a few weeks back in SLC (bayou). Color was an orange-amber with an off white head. Aroma was earthy and yeasty, with a good dash of caramel and bread. Flavor was similar, and very nice as well for the style. Earthy, bready and yeasty. A bit dry. Solid beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2008 On tap at the Bayou. Pours a light gold with a decent white head. The aroma is strong hops-grapefruit and pine. The taste is mostly a nice bitter hops and a citrus element. Unbalanced, thin, and too weak. But overall, pretty darn good. One of Utah’s better beers.

I lived off this beer for 3 years. I love it! It’s really hoppy like an IPA. Goes down easy,,,,,real easy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very pale golden beer, slightly hazy with a thin white head. Nice hoppy nose. A bit of spiciness and a bit of cascade fruitiness. Some yeasty crispness. Crisp and minerally bitterness. Very lean body, but this seems to help with the drinkability. I like this... a simple, crisp, quaffable ale.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(08/2006. Draft). Not bad at all. A nice, big hop aroma definitely on the piney/resinous side, but with pleasant hints of citrus (orangey more than lemon or grapefruit) coming through. This was unfiltered, but a pleasant orange color (tough to tell in the limited bar light, but that’s what it looked like). Head dissipated pretty quick, but decent lace. Flavor was nice, but just didn’t live up to the promise of the nose. Definitely hoppy, with the citrusy orange coming through now more than the pine. Medium bodied and, of couse, a low ABV version of what might have more mouthfeel at bigger levels (can still only sell 4% beer in UT from a tap).
