4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2005 This is the same amber hue as their Munich lager, but with a great head that adhered to the glass. Thereís a powerful grapefruity nose. This is a superbly balanced hoppy-malted beer. Very, very good!!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up on tap at the Desert Edge with clear copper body and white head. The aroma offers up a bit of roasted malts and a good dose of pine hops. The taste is pretty roasty with malts for the style but is balanced by bitter citrus hops and pine hop resin as well as a touch of caramel. Full bold flavored brew for the style.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at DE. Pine and citrus hops in the nose, toasty malt, some caramel. Pours amber, white head with decent retention and some lacing. Flavor: medium bitterness, pleasant citrus and pine hop flavors, biscuity malt notes and caramel, well balanced. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. Well done session brew.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(08/2006. Draft). Not bad at all. A nice, big hop aroma definitely on the piney/resinous side, but with pleasant hints of citrus (orangey more than lemon or grapefruit) coming through. This was unfiltered, but a pleasant orange color (tough to tell in the limited bar light, but thatís what it looked like). Head dissipated pretty quick, but decent lace. Flavor was nice, but just didnít live up to the promise of the nose. Definitely hoppy, with the citrusy orange coming through now more than the pine. Medium bodied and, of couse, a low ABV version of what might have more mouthfeel at bigger levels (can still only sell 4% beer in UT from a tap).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very pale golden beer, slightly hazy with a thin white head. Nice hoppy nose. A bit of spiciness and a bit of cascade fruitiness. Some yeasty crispness. Crisp and minerally bitterness. Very lean body, but this seems to help with the drinkability. I like this... a simple, crisp, quaffable ale.
