4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, USA - SEP 1, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2005 This is the same amber hue as their Munich lager, but with a great head that adhered to the glass. There’s a powerful grapefruity nose. This is a superbly balanced hoppy-malted beer. Very, very good!!
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ekoerper (369) - Iowa, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Tap at DE. Pine and citrus hops in the nose, toasty malt, some caramel. Pours amber, white head with decent retention and some lacing. Flavor: medium bitterness, pleasant citrus and pine hop flavors, biscuity malt notes and caramel, well balanced. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. Well done session brew.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2011
Poured up on tap at the Desert Edge with clear copper body and white head. The aroma offers up a bit of roasted malts and a good dose of pine hops. The taste is pretty roasty with malts for the style but is balanced by bitter citrus hops and pine hop resin as well as a touch of caramel. Full bold flavored brew for the style.

pnw hops are all over the nose...pale caramel maltiness, pine, citrus, earth and spice.
the flavor is the same... lots of pine-tastic hops but not overly piney. lots of citrus and malt yet it is dry and spicy.
crisp mouth feel and prickly carbonation. 6/3/6/4/14/3.3

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aubrey (3193) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Just came across these notes from last winter (draft at brewery): Cloudy. Rusty orange hue. Fluffy head with nice lace. Crisp and light on the tongue. Doughy, cakey, earthy malts with a burnt edge. Citrusy (orange and sugared lemon). Fair amount of bitterness, especially in the finish. A little rough around the edges, but definitely one of the best I had at Desert Edge.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexanderj (2851) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JUL 9, 2009
On tap a few weeks back in SLC (bayou). Color was an orange-amber with an off white head. Aroma was earthy and yeasty, with a good dash of caramel and bread. Flavor was similar, and very nice as well for the style. Earthy, bready and yeasty. A bit dry. Solid beer.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2008 On tap at the Bayou. Pours a light gold with a decent white head. The aroma is strong hops-grapefruit and pine. The taste is mostly a nice bitter hops and a citrus element. Unbalanced, thin, and too weak. But overall, pretty darn good. One of Utah’s better beers.
