3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I am nearly 61, why am I opening this bloody thing: it is not as if I need a French tick or anything. Anyway this clear 330ml bottle cost me £1.49 from a local Asian supermarket: my son said I’d like it! Poured into a ’La Chouffe’ badged stemmed tulip glass at home on 12 Nov 2014. I knew it was going to be pale golden because of the clear bottle, the billowing white head was a surprise though. Lime and mint aroma, just like the bottle claimed, hid the tequila though, if there was/is any. The taste mirrored the nose. I thought it quite refreshing and different to be honest, not as bad as I expected. Not really a cold winters night beer, but I almost enjoyed it.

I didn’t really get any mint. Too bad, as it probably would have helped. Crappy pale lager with stale lime from concentrate flavor added.

The mint is frankly weird in a beer but the lime dominates. It's surprisingly nicer than regular Desperados and not totally undrinkable, if a very strange novelty.

Canned 06/08/14. A blonde beer with a white head. Mostly lime and mint in this. Tastes like toothpaste. Not the nasty sweetness of the other desperados beers but it still a bit urgh. The lime is the best part unsurprisingly.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle bought at an international food store in Eastbourne, Seaside Road. Pours out in a clear yellowish / light golden colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of lime and mint with some beery hints. Taste of mild beerh, light hops, flavoured with some lime and mint - well, just what it is. Nothing special.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From Tesco in Eastbourne - shared with McTapps. Quite unusual minty nose reminding us of a Mojito. Must be artificial. The rest is more or less their usual Desperados with a bit of mint and bubblegum. Slightly sourish due to some lemons and definitely easily drinkable. Non-special but ok.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
from a supermarket in Bollène, France - blond beer with a little foam left; solid aroma of mint with hints of potatoes and lime below; hugely sweet and sticky, thin-bodied; tons of residual sugars, grains and mint in the finish - cloying

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
330ml bottle from Tesco - Clear yellow straw body, bubbly white head. Nose is overwhelmingly like walking through a mint garden, very grassy, herby and minty. Taste is a sickly sweet mint and citrus. As far as beer goes, it is a novelty. Sad thing is I have two more bottles to kill.
