COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian-style abbey ale crafted like those that Trappist monks brew for their own session beer. It is light bodied, light in color and relatively lower in alcohol with spicy phenolics and complex fruity esters of cherries, nectarines, peaches and bubblegum with a characteristic slightly tart and dry finish from the Belgian yeast.

pours cloudy, deep straw, finger thin head, thin lacing. Aroma sweet doughy malt a bit of belgian funk, slight stone fruit way in the background. Taste tart up front, pilsner malt sweetness, big belgian yeast esters ,almost sour, slight phenolic. Mouthfeel medium body, high carbonation, tart/sour bite peppery, dry finish. Overall not bad, it?s like a bier de gard and farmhouse mix.

can @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear medium amber with a big rocky head that is slow to drop, blobs and swirls of lace. Taste is wheaty malt that adds light spice and a touch of fruit as it moves through the palate to a satisfying lightly bittered finish. Although it has some of the attributes, it hardly seems like a Belgian Ale, but, on its own merits, it works well.

Can poured a hazy gold with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of straw, yeast, citrus and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, lemon zest and yeast with a crisp dry lingering straw finish.

Can @ Destihl. Clear golden beer with a nice tall white head. Great cracker and fresh bread aroma. Quite floral, too. Some yeast, a bit of pear, apple, and white pepper. Slight peach. Flavor has a touch more sweetness to it with some cotton candy, pear, and lots of bread. Cracker and cracked pepper finish gives a nice dryness, though. Subtle bitterness. Nice crisp fruit esters. Crushable.

Can at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of of light grain and light fruits with a bit of light spice underlying. Flavor is full of flora and sweet grains that mellow through the finish.

This canned brew from a beer festival poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bright white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent weak yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste. The semi-sharp flavor contained notes of mild citrus floral fruity hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Can. What the heck is this? Gold pour with a white head. Faint yeast and plenty of cardboard on the nose. Watery palate and it tastes fairly metallic. This isn’t good.

Can from a six pack I brought back from Illinois. Poured a slightly dark straw color with a medium sized white solid head. Aroma was some notes of grain, straw, lemon. Notes of bready and yeast notes are present too. Flavor was light lemon zest notes, yeast, earthy hop character. Pretty clean and easy to drink - not as refreshing as I’d hope, but light enough and has a pretty clean finish.
