COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian-style abbey ale crafted like those that Trappist monks brew for their own session beer. It is light bodied, light in color and relatively lower in alcohol with spicy phenolics and complex fruity esters of cherries, nectarines, peaches and bubblegum with a characteristic slightly tart and dry finish from the Belgian yeast.

12 oz single can from Wilbur’s Total Beverage. Medium to dark orange and slight hazy appearance with a white head. Aroma of light fruity esters, toasted grain, light banana and spicy yeast. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and a light floral, noble hop bitterness. Average body with a light dry finish. OK.

Can. Pours an effervescent clear gold. Big white head leaves a thin film and spotty lacing. Light, American version of a Belgian. Light aromas and tastes of fruit; especially peaches. Taste is somewhat grainy with a bit of spice from the hops. Thin mouthfeel with a dry finish. I think this IS what they were going for; a decent sessionable.

Pleasant enough Belgian table beer, though not as rustic as if prefer in that style. Very light nose and flavor, but it’s pleasant fruit phenols, yeast and florals. Thin feel is ok.

Sample 7/19/14 (Naperville Ale Fest)-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small head. Aroma of citrus, coriander, and yeast. Taste of the same with a bit of spice coming through on tha back end. This light bodied brew is not too shabby.
