A Belgian-style abbey ale crafted like those that Trappist monks brew for their own session beer. It is light bodied, light in color and relatively lower in alcohol with spicy phenolics and complex fruity esters of cherries, nectarines, peaches and bubblegum with a characteristic slightly tart and dry finish from the Belgian yeast.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2016 Pours clear golden orange with a small head. The aroma has bread, caramel and smooth Abbey yeast. It has a medium smooth body with fairly sharp carbonation. The taste has drier notes and has a little spice and some woodiness. Decent.

Draft. Deep golden body, frothy white head. Light aroma of cobweb, basement mustiness, straw, pear. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not a lot going on here. Taste of floral hops, toasted grain, light spice.

It pours golden with a white full head that produce some lace. The head is long lasting and there is some haze to the color. There are aromas of bubblegum, cherries, spice, peaches, and yeast. There are flavors of sweet malt, basement elements, slight bubblegum, and slight fruity esters. It has a light body with a somewhat dry finish. There is a high amount of carbonation. Overall, this is a wonderful aromatic beer with a light body that makes for a decent session ale.

12 oz. can. Beautiful, unclear orange, with a big, bubbly, eggshell head. The nose is orange peel, bubblegum, cardamom, spruce, and hay. Semi-sweet, with a mild bitterness. Light to medium body, dry and astringent, with a crisp, clean finish. This is a light and simple beer, but nice, refreshing, and interesting.

Can into a tulip. Pours a clear straw yellow, with a small white head that quickly fades. Nose is Belgian yeast notes of clove and bubblegum. Taste is like a watery Belgian abbey ale. I wanted more flavor. There’s also a weird metallic note on the finish. Drinkable, but could have been better.

Pale golden pour with a thin wispy head. Slight metallic aroma. Taste has some banana and some farmhouse funk. Slightly sweet. Medium bodied. Refreshing. A little lace present. Aroma is super faint, some floweriness. Tastes better than it smells.

12 oz single can from Wilbur’s Total Beverage. Medium to dark orange and slight hazy appearance with a white head. Aroma of light fruity esters, toasted grain, light banana and spicy yeast. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and a light floral, noble hop bitterness. Average body with a light dry finish. OK.

Can. Pours an effervescent clear gold. Big white head leaves a thin film and spotty lacing. Light, American version of a Belgian. Light aromas and tastes of fruit; especially peaches. Taste is somewhat grainy with a bit of spice from the hops. Thin mouthfeel with a dry finish. I think this IS what they were going for; a decent sessionable.
