This reverse engineered, wild Berliner-Style Weisse is a German-style sour that is very pale in color and is the lightest of all the German wheat beers. The unique combination of wild yeast and lactic fermentation yields a beer that is acidic, lemony-tart, highly attenuated and very light bodied. The carbonation of this Berliner Weisse is high, and hop rates are very low.

6/5/16. Draft at Ramblers. Very nice expel of the style even if served in a high stemmed wine glass. Clean and refreshing on a hot evening. No need for the fruit syrup. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at the hotel in NOLA - sourced from Stein’s. Pours clear, pale yellowy pink with a slim, creamy white head. Nice salty sweat aroma with inklings of lemon juice. Light sweet flavour with sturdy lemony acidity, some wheat, hay, more salty sweat. Light in body with spritzy carbonation. Super clean and refreshing in the finish, with more lemon juice, salty bite, sweaty acidity. Great b-weisse overall. Immensely drinkable.

On draught. Pours a pale clear yellow with a small white head. Nose is citrus, and the taste follows. Moderately tart with a touch of funk. Very nice.

July 28, 2015. Tasting at jtclockwork’s, thanks for sharing!
Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is lemon, notes of yoghurt, wheat, minerals. Taste is tart, citrusy and lactic, very light malty notes. Finish is tangy and refreshing. Light bodied, slight fizzy carbonation.
Tart and refreshing, good.

Can. Golden with sodalike fizzy head. Smell slightly pukey and lemony. Taste tart lemon lime soda minus the sugar, plus a puckery purple grape/grapefruit/lemon-lime finish. Some grass. Quite sour.

This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized bright white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strong bubbly carbonation transparent weak yellow colored body. The mild aroma was dough and sour. The sour mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering aftertaste. The sharp flavor contained notes of sour wheat and dough. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is wheat, funk, and lemon. Flavor is very sour lactic acid and lemon, a little bready in the finish. With this, I think I understand what raters mean by "clean." Flavorful for its ABV. Good.
