COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This reverse engineered, wild Berliner-Style Weisse is a German-style sour that is very pale in color and is the lightest of all the German wheat beers. The unique combination of wild yeast and lactic fermentation yields a beer that is acidic, lemony-tart, highly attenuated and very light bodied. The carbonation of this Berliner Weisse is high, and hop rates are very low.

Lemony lactic aroma. Pours a hazy straw color with active carbonation. Nice high acid presence really bright and lifting upfront, yet pleasantly doesn’t linger finishing clean and refreshing.

Pours a hazy gold with no head. Aroma of funk, sour wheat, lacto and lemons. Taste follows, a bit smokey with a touch of burnt plastic off putting.

Clear light golden, but with very little head--just a ring around the edge of the glass. Lovely aroma with some sour wheatiness and a touch of lemons and salt. Nice flavor that presents pretty full and flavorful, yet also tart and dry and cerealish and citric. Lovely lemon tones that are reserved and not very puckering, though there is a bit of sour and salt. Lingering blonde wheat and salty sweet lemon citrus zest. Lovely Berliner.

Nearly clear straw gold pour with a thin, fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma is dusty wheat, slightly saline, bright citrus, under ripe berries and a perfumey note. Flavor is sweetish, but surprisingly toasty wheat, sharp white cheddar cheesiness, tart plum, lemon and sweaty salinity. Light body, dry, crisp entry, medium, sharp and spritzy carbonation and dry, chalkier, but still crisp finish. Decent stuff overall, lots of good stuff in there, but I don’t really like the odd salty notes.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours lemonade color with no head. Taste lemon, citrus, sour. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can from House Beer. Clear yellow pour with a big white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is mostly corn. Taste are biscuity, vanilla, green apple, wheat, lactic, medium tart. Strange. Little enamel vibe. We’ve liked the others in this series - but not so much here. Wonder if this isn’t a little off.

Wow a pleasant surprise. Poured the can into a snifter at Jim and Brians. Pours a lemonade yellow haze with a very small head. Aroma is tart lemons, hay, grass, and cereal grains. The taste is up front tart lemons, cereal, hay, grass, and Fritos. Slight salty finish, moderate tartness. Clean. Refreshing. Good!

Taster. Ohh tart and salty. Pours a hazy yellow glow with no head. Aroma of sour wheat, lemon tart, hay and funk. Taste is sour wheat, lemon peel, very sour. A hit for me! Want this for the summer!
