COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Our mission for this Imperial or ’Double’ India Pale Ale is to overload the beer with hops for an intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma while still being balanced by a big malt profile, resulting in a hoppy beer with more dimension. This beer is light copper in color with some hop haze from overloading with dry hops as well. World Beer Championships Award: Bronze Medal 2011

Can shared by Greg - thanks! Light copper color with an offwhite head. Lightly dank nose. Some sweetness in the taste that rapidly moves into big hops, and lots of bitterness.

Can. Clear dark orange pour, thin sticky carbonation and and aroma of clean, fresh mangoes & hops. Flavor is rich creamy malt, mild grapefruit, pleasantly warming alcoholic hops and some nice sweetness on the finish. Way too drinkable for being 9.6%

Poured from a 12oz can. Aroma is pine and sweet caramel. Flavors are pine, grapefruit peel, citrus, and sweet caramel. For a big double Ipa this beer has a nice balance, the almost 10 percent abv is hiding very well. The piney hops are very nice up front what I like is they don’t sit and linger on your tongue like most do. My only qualm with this beer is that it is not very aromatic.

12oz. can. Dark Amber. Sweet caramel malt nose, with hop aromas in the background. Sugary malt flavors out front followed by hop bitterness. Not enjoying this that much. I prefer more hop. Not bad but will not get it again. So many choices.

Fresh can. Pours reddish orange with decent inch-sized head. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, straw. Flavor is sweet caramel/toffee malt, grapefruit/orange, biscuit, honey. Perhaps a little too sweet. The hops should play a bigger role here.

can. The aroma is full of hops with a very citrus, almost lemon nose. The taste is alos chalked full of hops. Almost a hop mess. I think they tried too hard with this one.

Served: 12 oz can Look: dark copper color, two finger hangs for a while. Nice white head Smell: fruity sweet smell. Bananas, and citrus Taste: heavy fruit and hops. Strong alcohol taste. Feel: thick not as much carbonation as I thought. Overall: not bad needs mor carbonation and hide the alcohol better. Could use more citrus for my taste. First Tasted: home Decatur 4/13/14

Aroma is caramel malts, yeast and slightly underlying hops. The flavor is caramel malts, sugar, malts, citrus, tropical fruit and a tart/mildly tangy finish.

Great hop aroma and the hop bitterness you’d expect form an Imperial IPA. Not so hoppy it melts off your tastebuds though - subtle malty balance.

On Tap. Pours a rich copper with slight off white head. Rich, sweet aroma, malt backbone with hop notes. Taste is mainly sweet with hops showing some bittering. Bold and interesting flavors here.
