COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Our mission for this Imperial or ’Double’ India Pale Ale is to overload the beer with hops for an intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma while still being balanced by a big malt profile, resulting in a hoppy beer with more dimension. This beer is light copper in color with some hop haze from overloading with dry hops as well. World Beer Championships Award: Bronze Medal 2011

Served a bit too cold with a creamy, thick, off- white head and a ton of lace. Color is a clear copper amber. Aroma is fain (bad nose on my part) but does have a good hop & malt character. Flavor’s much stronger than nose, slightly more bitter than sweet up front, then more bitter and some tang. Body is good tho carbonation a bit soft. Finish is heavy bitter and long with some booze. Decent beer.

can. The aroma is full of hops with a very citrus, almost lemon nose. The taste is alos chalked full of hops. Almost a hop mess. I think they tried too hard with this one.

Served: 12 oz can Look: dark copper color, two finger hangs for a while. Nice white head Smell: fruity sweet smell. Bananas, and citrus Taste: heavy fruit and hops. Strong alcohol taste. Feel: thick not as much carbonation as I thought. Overall: not bad needs mor carbonation and hide the alcohol better. Could use more citrus for my taste. First Tasted: home Decatur 4/13/14

Aroma is caramel malts, yeast and slightly underlying hops. The flavor is caramel malts, sugar, malts, citrus, tropical fruit and a tart/mildly tangy finish.

Great hop aroma and the hop bitterness you’d expect form an Imperial IPA. Not so hoppy it melts off your tastebuds though - subtle malty balance.

On Tap. Pours a rich copper with slight off white head. Rich, sweet aroma, malt backbone with hop notes. Taste is mainly sweet with hops showing some bittering. Bold and interesting flavors here.

Golden color out of the tap with the barest of off white heads. Vague nose with some resin. This is pretty subtle for a IIPA, with some caramel sweetness, lots of fruit and berries with a long hop resin finish.

Hoppy, but not an overload, I enjoyed, crisp and citrusy. If it had more of a finished hop I would rate it higher.
