3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Still finishing my notes from the 2011 MWBF. Not a big, hoppy smell to it. I get a little citrus and pine. Nice, thick malty taste to it. Very orangey amber color and some lacy foam in the glass.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear amber with a foamy light beige head. Deep sticky earthy hop resin on the nose with a touch of lemon and malt sweetness. Deep yet rich flavor with lots of grapefruit and earthy pine resin and a deep resounding caramalt malt backbone. Its nuanced but sternly bitter with lots of semisweet grapefruit rind. A bit much on that front but still very tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz can poured. This thing exploded when I opened it for a reason that is still under investigation. Huge foamy head for days. There are two things that never get old to me, and that would be hoppy beers, and beers that have super clever pun names. 2 in 1! I love that. Though Mitch Hedberg once said, two in one makes no sense, because it would be overflowing, and the bottle would be all sticky and shit. This may explain why the can exploded with foam. Ah, it all makes sense now. Now on to the less important details. Beer pours a dark copper color. Super pine aroma. Flavor has a super sweet caramely side to it, which I wouldn’t always enjoy, but this one makes it work. High Abv, but drinks nice. Really good for cracking after 12 hours of work. Piney hops flavor will stick around forever. Not your ordinary in the style. The word overload in the name is a good word to describe this if you are only using one word. Now, I’m going to continue enjoying this beer, and listen to some Mitch. Overall, it’s pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear honey color with gigantic head that keeps lasting. Nose is grass, fruit, grapefruit. Body is oily, with grass, slightly bitter, good amount of caramel sweetness. Good, but balance just doesn’t seem to be there, some metallic harshness.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pour out of 12 oz can, hazy dark orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of veggie, rotten fruits, some slight orange peel and caramel, jammy notes into a bit of pine, slight spice. Taste is rotten fruits, veggie, butter, some caramel, toffee into a bit of orange, slight pine and resinous notes into a bit of yeast, finishing buttery. Yikes.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz can. Pours clear copper amber with a medium frothy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is subdued - sweet caramel malt with some alcoholic hops.
The flavor is sweet caramel malts with a pretty big piney resiny hop finish and quite a bit of alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a decent DIPA. I liked this much better on tap. It was very hazy with more fruit and less alcohol. This tastes a bit like Arrogant Bastard.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft to mini-snifter at Destihl. Looks solid; malty though. A fairly transparent copperish orange with off-white head. Smells sweet and sticky with some hops in the background. Tastes Like it smells with a fuller-bodied mouthfeel. A sticky malt bomb.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy copper with thick off white head. Nice lacing left throughout. Has a citrus, caramel, bread, and earthy aroma. Sweet tart taste upfront that finished mildly bitter. Flavors of pine, tart fruits, caramel, and earthy notes. Medium body that was sticky on the palate. Was a solid DIPA overall.
